And that's a wrap for Harvest 25......the earliest finish in my time at Preston Hall Estate. A harvest of mixed results but as is often the way, some of the crops that looked the poorest in April/May came up with the goods albeit with screening issues in Malting Barley.. Great effort from the team as ever - well done, Rory, Robert, Jack and Alastair. Time to draw breath and start all over again!

Winter Barley starting off in good fettle on some tricky fields. 3/4 strong tillers and clean so far.

Well - that's a wrap. Harvest and sowing season now complete. Fantastic effort by all of the team - despite one of them bunking off to Oz before we finished!! Now all we need is an average autumn and winter to give these winter crops a chance. TBF - not much dust coming off the last fields sown!! Preston Hall Estate

Moredun's science review day is underway at the Royal Society of Edinburgh. This is a chance for all of Moredun's researchers to share their research highlights with others from within the institute.

This annual event is a great opportunity for internal networking and building collaborations.
