That’s us just back from selling at the Ram Rendezvous at United Auctions.

A massive thank you to all the buyers and underbidders for your support — it’s hugely appreciated. 🐑

That’s everything sold for the year, so we’re now looking ahead to Kelso 2027!

The lambs pictured are some we’ll be taking forward next year. They’ve been the best growing, easiest lambing and best-performing lambs through the CT scanner, with excellent carcase results to match from Saughland Farm.

Thanks again to everyone for your support, and we’ll see you at Kelso 2027!

🐑 Join the Saughland Team for Lambing 2027! 🐑

We’re looking for 1–2 people to join us for lambing at Saughland Farm, near Pathhead, Midlothian.

🏠 Pet Lamb Rearing & Shed Lambing

The role will mainly involve:

• Feeding, bedding, watering and caring for pet lambs
• Rearing pet lambs using our milk machine and great setup
• Assisting with shed lambing and caring for ewes and lambs
• Sorting and dealing with any problems that arise
• General lambing and shed work as required

🐑 Around 1,700 ewes lambing this season.

We’re looking for reliable, hardworking people who can work on their own initiative. Previous sheep or lambing experience would be an advantage.

We have a well-equipped setup and milk machine for rearing the pet lambs, with support available throughout the season.

📅 Starting 19th April 2027 for approximately 3–4 weeks
📍 Saughland Farm, near Pathhead, Midlothian

If you’re interested, drop us a message with a bit about yourself and your experience 🐑

What a day at Kelso! 🐑

A massive thank you to all the bidders, underbidders and everyone who supported us — we really appreciate every bid and kind word. What a great day, and we’re already looking forward to next year! 👏🐑

And just a little teaser… 👀

We’re working on changing the way performance data is presented, so farmers can actually relate to it and understand what the figures mean in the real world.

I’m just waiting on Friday’s CT results before I say too much…

Watch this space. 🐑👀

Tups in today for their final colour and numbers before Kelso 🐏

Not long now until the big day!

Really pleased with how this year’s team is looking — fit, functional and ready to work.

Selected tups CT scanned and all EBV recorded, giving us plenty of information to help select the right tups for the job.

With our first year at the Kelso Ram Sale just around the corner, preparation is well underway! 🐏

Dressing and colouring the tups ready for the big day.

Here’s one of the standout tups — one of the fastest-growing lambs in the group from the start, and he hasn’t looked back since!

A big thanks to Scott Brown for getting the tups dressed and looking the part. 👌

Really pleased with how the group has developed. Looking forward to getting them to Kelso — roll on sale day! 🐏
