🌽 An a-MAIZE-ing Home Ed session! 🌽

In next Monday’s Home Education session, we’ll head out into the maize maze to measure the crop and check how it’s growing – as well as learning about how the maize crop is used once the summer fun of our summer Maize Maze event is over.

Good to see Will from ASC Automony with the Agri Bot on Clarkson’s Farm series 5 - we were lucky enough to work with these guys to test plant our 2026 Tulip Festival bulbs back in November ‘25!

It was also good to see Jeremy check out the Agri Droids at LAMMA on the episode. Have to say we highly recommend - our own ‘farm droid’ Seed-3-PO is a real game-changer, and PYO Beetroot 🫜 is our favourite crop to grow with the Agri-Droid UK Ltd.

We’re proud to have used this pioneering tech on the farm - here’s a vid to Farmer Richard introducing Seed-3-PO - can’t believe this is 2 years ago!

Looking forward to seeing how Jeremy and the team get on 👍

*DONKEYS HARD AT WORK*

Yesterday our father and son donkey duo Jasper & Peanut 🫏 were guests of honour at
Princefield First School Summer Fete!

We gave away some free PLAY@ child tickets👧 from our stand, along with pumpkin seeds to enter our Grow A Pumpkin Challenge🎃

As you can see, it was *very* tiring work 😂

Thanks everyone who joined us for the 20th year of Open Farm Sunday (OFS) today.

A fantastic initiative from LEAF (Linking the Environment And Farming).

We did the first open farm Sunday 20 years ago, and it is one of the catalysts for us since building PLAY@.

We were joined today by a fantastic team from Marks & Spencer, who helped visitors make flower 🌺 bombs 💣 and supported our team.
We are now M&S Future Farmers and are very proud of the Huntapac Produce Ltd, Carrots 🥕 and Parsnips, grown on our farm and sold in M&S 🚛

To celebrate today, we have also shared some of the pictures of Open Farm Sunday on the farm over the last 20 years, you might recognise some of the people in the photos, like Tractor Pete who still drives for us. 🚜

We haven’t done much for OFS the last few years because we have been so busy with PLAY@ - but we had to open our doors for the 20th celebration today and will make it even bigger and better next year.

Open Farm Sunday Huntapac Produce Ltd Marks and Spencer

*FARMING UPDATE*

We are always combating against weeds, pests and diseases when growing crops on the farm.

These sunflowers 🌻 are being eaten by rabbits 🐇 so Farmer Delta is spreading some Phacelia seed with the sunflowers to make sure we have plenty of flowers this summer.

The fast-growing plant act as a phenomenal living mulch, suppressing weeds while their deep roots condition the topsoil and allowing the sunflowers to reach for the sky! ☀️

The purple flowers also provides a beautiful contrast
to the vibrant yellow sunflowers, creating a brilliant contrast in color and an absolute haven for bees, butterflies, and beneficial insects. 🐝
