Some good news

Delighted that Conwy County Borough Council have voted not to introduce the Tourism Tax from next year.

The Council has agreed to defer making a decision for now. Welsh Conservatives argued for the Council to rule it out altogether - sadly this wasn’t the majority view. Nonetheless, the decision not to introduce the Tourism Tax now is a good outcome for local businesses.

Big thanks are due to The TaxPayers' Alliance for their campaigning efforts on this locally, encouraging businesses and residents to respond to the Council’s consultation.
