At Varfell, we’re committed to supporting the next generation of talent in farming and cut flowers. At just 25 years old, Isaak Fox has already taken on significant responsibility within the business, bringing fresh ideas and a modern perspective to the industry.

Isaak first joined Varfell for a summer placement in 2020 before heading to Harper Adams University to study Agricultural Crop Management. Three years later, he returned to Varfell as Assistant Farm Manager, supporting Simon Gardner and our farm management team with the day-to-day running of the farm.

During peak season, he plays a key role in overseeing a workforce of more than 1,000 people, demonstrating strong leadership, excellent communication skills and a calm approach under pressure. He has a real passion for flower growing and enjoys the science behind producing high-quality daffodils.

Watch our short video to hear more about Isaak’s journey so far and his experience as part of the Varfell team.

With daffodil season at its peak, our teams in Penzance, Cornwall, have been working hard to bring springtime joy to homes across the UK.

Each stem is hand‑picked and bunched in the field, then carefully packed and sent to major retailers for customers to take home and enjoy.

Nothing says Mother’s Day like a bright bunch of daffodils.

With Mother’s Day this Sunday, there’s no better time to gift some fresh bunches of daffodils - available from all major retailers.

Top tip: place the stems in water the night before gifting so the flowers begin to open.

Instantly recognisable by their cheerful, bright-yellow petals, they bring joy to any home as they dance in the sunlight. These daffodils are carefully hand‑picked in Penzance, Cornwall by a team dedicated to bringing springtime joy across the world.

It’s officially daffodil season. Here’s why you should pick up a bunch today!

It’s National Daffodil Month, and at Varfell Farms, we’re in peak season.

March is an important time for daffodils, known for symbolising hope and joy. The daffodil has long been a symbol for the Marie Curie Great Daffodil Appeal, which takes place each March - raising vital funds for people with terminal illness.

And, with Mother’s Day on 15 March, a fresh bunch is the perfect way to thank the women who light up our lives too.

Why not treat yourself to some daffodils this weekend, in readiness for the start of National Daffodil Month this Sunday.
Keep your blooms looking their best with these tips…

- Cut the stems at a 45 degree angle and place in fresh, cold water.
- Place in a cool, bright area of your home but out of direct sunlight.
- Remember to replace the water in your vase every 2-3 days to keep your daffodils fresher, for longer.
