Well... somehow I managed to get all of my cookie doughs made yesterday, which means I've accidentally given myself a random day off! 🎉

Although, if you run your own business, you'll know a "day off" is never really a day off! 😂

Today's plans include:🛒 Going shopping and picking up some stock🍪 Researching and planning some new cookie flavours📝 Catching up on paperwork and all those little jobs I've been putting off because it's been so busy lately.

I know people often think I can just throw a few ingredients together and create a new flavour overnight, but there's actually so much more that goes into it. I have to source the right ingredients, test recipes, make sure the flavours work together, and sometimes make several versions before I'm happy with the final cookie!

So, while it might look like I'm having a day off, it's actually another behind-the-scenes day for Let's Get Stuffed. The baking starts tomorrow, but today is all about getting organised and hopefully coming up with some exciting new flavours for you all! 👀🍪

☀️ HEATWAVE UPDATE ☀️

As much as I hate having to do this, I won't be sending out any postal orders this week due to the current heatwave.

It's only just gone 10am and we're already at 26°C 🥵 and I simply can't risk my customers receiving melted, damaged cookies. That's not the standard I want to send out, and I never want anyone receiving something that doesn't reflect Let’s Get Stuffed.

For those of you who have already placed postal orders, I have sent out emails explaining the situation and confirming that your cookies will be freshly made and posted at the beginning of next week once the weather has cooled down a little. If you've ordered, please check your inbox (and your spam folder just in case!).

Any new postal orders placed this week will also be sent out at the beginning of next week.

The Cookie Cupboard will remain open as long as it's not getting too hot in its little corner. If it becomes too warm, I may need to close it temporarily to avoid stock being wasted.

If you're after cookies this week, please just send me a message! I'm more than happy to make up an order for collection, and if the cupboard is closed, I can put specific orders aside for you.

Thank you all so much for your support and understanding. I'd much rather delay posting for a few days than send out cookies that aren't perfect. ❤️🍪

Meet... The Doughmother 👑🍪

She's only a few hours old, she's currently living in a jar on my kitchen counter, and honestly, I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. 😂

For those that don't know, The Doughmother is my brand-new sourdough starter. Over the next couple of weeks she'll be fed daily and (hopefully!) transformed into a healthy, bubbly starter.

Now before anyone panics... I'm not about to stop making my chunky NYC stuffed cookies! They're not going anywhere. ❤️

But I am curious about experimenting with sourdough discard and seeing what delicious things we can create with it.

One idea I'm really excited about is a Cookie Dunk Box 🍫

Think mini cookies or cookie sticks served with dipping pots of things like:🤎 Milk Chocolate🤍 White Chocolate🍪 Biscoff🥛 Kinder🌰 Pistachio🍯 Salted Caramel

What. A. Day. 🤯

A massive thank you to everyone who came along to Illogan Food & Craft Market today and supported all of us small businesses. The market was absolutely buzzing!

Several traders were very close to selling out, and I nearly sold out myself. The support today has been incredible.

I do have a few bits of cake left, so I'll be putting together a small number of £7 mystery bags. They'll be worth more than £7 and can be collected this evening or tomorrow from the Cookie Cupboard.
