🐶 Dog Show Fun This Sunday! 🐶

If you're coming along to the dog show this weekend, don't forget to enter your four-legged friends into some of the classes!

There are loads of different classes to take part in, with something for every dog. Entries are just £1.50 per class, and you can enter as many classes as you like.

⚠️ Please note: entries are cash only as card payments aren't available for the dog show.

All proceeds from the classes go to Helping Hands, supporting a fantastic local cause. ❤️

Each class has been kindly sponsored by one of the attending traders, and I'm delighted to say that Let's Get Stuffed is sponsoring the "Best Trick" class! 🏆
So whether your dog can sit, stay, roll over, high-five, or has a completely unique talent to show off, make sure you enter them into Best Trick!

I am ridiculously proud of this one. 🍋🥧

My first ever Key Lime Pie, topped with homemade Swiss meringue, and I honestly couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

The real test, though, was getting everyone else's verdict... and I'm pleased to report there were no complaints! 😅

It was cut into 12 slices, and at the time of writing there are only 3 left. Safe to say it went down rather well.

Tangy lime filling, buttery biscuit base, and a mountain of light, fluffy Swiss meringue on top. Definitely one I'll be making again.

Not bad for a first attempt! 💛

Now the question is... what should I try baking next? 👇

Well, this was supposed to be a simple dessert... 😅🍋

Instead, I've somehow ended up with this absolute beast of a Key Lime Pie!

Made with a buttery biscuit base, a tangy homemade key lime filling, and topped with my very first Swiss meringue. I was convinced the meringue would go wrong, but I'm ridiculously pleased with how it's turned out.

And can we just take a moment to appreciate the height of this thing?! I didn't even own a pie dish, so I baked it in a cake tin and accidentally created a deep-filled monster. 🤣

Now comes the hardest part... waiting long enough for it to chill properly before I cut into it.

Wish me luck. I don't think my willpower is strong enough. 🍋🥧

🫐 Behind the Scenes 🫐

Reduced-to-clear blueberries + an air fryer + absolutely no clue what I'm doing = today's experiment! 😂

I've currently got a batch of blueberries in the air fryer on the dehydrate setting, and if all goes to plan, there could be a Blueberry & Lemon Cookie heading your way soon... 🍋💙

But here's the question...

Do you think it should be:

💙 Stuffed with a lemon curd centre? Or a blueberry jam centre?
💙 Left unstuffed so the blueberry and lemon flavours can really shine?
💙 Or something completely different?

I'm also thinking about introducing a few non-stuffed cookies alongside the stuffed range. They'd still be the same giant size, same weight, same price, just without a gooey centre. I know not everyone is a stuffed-cookie fan, and sometimes simple flavours deserve the spotlight too!

And if you've ever dehydrated fruit before... HELP! 😂

Any tips, tricks, warnings, or "don't do what I did" stories are very welcome because I'm completely winging it at this point.

Pete & Beth stopped by while visiting all the way from Arizona after spotting Let’s Get Stuffed on Facebook... and I honestly think that's a little bit crazy (in the best possible way! 🤯)

They grabbed some cookies to take with them on a hike and sent me this lovely message:

Last night’s glamorous job? Sitting for TWO HOURS shelling four bags of pistachios 🫠🤣

Honestly, the only time I properly sit down lately is when I’m still working… but at least this job came with a film and a blanket 😅🎬

And can we just talk about the before and after?! All that shelling for this amount of pistachios 🌰😂 I genuinely thought I’d end up with a mountain of them.
