The Pantry at Peopleton

The Pantry at Peopleton Welcome to The Pantry at Peopleton in Main Street. The Pantry stocks local produce. A range of grocery items are also stocked.

The purpose of the page is to inform customers about your community shop and to allow customers to give feedback. There are daily deliveries of bread and milk with regular deliveries of fresh fruit and vegetables, eggs, meat, cakes and pies.

There is at meeting at 6pm this evening at St Nicholas' church to outline the current position regarding the Post Office and the shop.

Villagers! Volunteers needed!

We really need your help to keep the shop going and need more volunteers to fill the 2 hour slots every week.

Any new volunteers will be given lots of training and support, so please come and have a chat to see what's involved.

During August, the committee members (and spouses) covered around 50% of the volunteer rota and we're doing everything we can to keep the shop viable - if you're interested in joining the committee please pop into the shop and leave your details.

Dear Villagers,

You will have noticed the Post Office was closed last week (3/8/2026) due to Horizon issues.

The Committee has instigated an investigation into the Horizon anomalies, working with the Post Office to resolve these issues.

The Post Office advises this could take several weeks and therefore we regretfully advise the Post Office will be closed during this investigation.

We appreciate your continued support for the shop which we will remain open during this period, subject to volunteer availability.
In addition, Amanda is off sick due to ongoing health issues.
We are grateful for your understanding.
