🇬🇧 SUNDAY | GIVING BACK TO THE SPORT 🇬🇧

A couple of pictures of Ed doing what he does as often as life allows… training.

There are a LOT of hours going in behind the scenes as he prepares to represent Great Britain at the 2026 IPSC Shotgun World Shoot, and we’re incredibly proud of the commitment he’s putting into earning the right to wear that Team GB shirt. 🇬🇧

But today looks a little different.

Instead of competing, Ed is spending his Sunday as a Range Officer at a competition.

Something he feels really strongly about is giving back to the sport that has given him so much. Competitions simply couldn’t happen without the people who give up their own time to officiate, help, support and keep everything running safely.

So today the competition shotgun takes a little rest while Ed puts in the hours on the other side of the range.

Training when he can.
Competing when he can.
Volunteering when he can.

And quietly working towards that rather exciting moment when ED MURDOCH 🇬🇧 steps onto the world stage for Team GB.

🍄 CHANTERELLES ARE BACK! 🍄

One of those little seasonal treats that makes us ridiculously happy when it appears in the deli…

Freshly foraged chanterelles are back in stock at Provender Brown! 💛

Beautiful, golden, delicate and wonderfully earthy, these little wild mushrooms don’t hang around for long, either in season or on our shelves.

Keep it simple and let them do the talking. Sauté gently in plenty of butter with a little garlic and herbs, pile onto good sourdough, stir through pasta or serve alongside eggs for a rather fabulous breakfast.

Now that Frankie has settled into life at Provender Brown Delicatessen so brilliantly, we’re ready to welcome another friendly face to the team.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic part-time Deli Assistant with experience in food retail, hospitality or a delicatessen environment. Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys great food, loves chatting with customers and takes pride in offering excellent service.

The role requires availability across all seven days of the week on a rotating rota, with a little flexibility to help cover holidays and busy periods when needed.

Because shifts can fall on different days throughout the week, this position isn’t really suited to someone whose availability is restricted by university timetables.
