I am so grateful that nobody wants to eat me alive. 😆

Remember, we truly are running our business as a wee family. Community support is the backbone to our survival. It feels good to support small. 🎅

So here’s some news that you might have guessed. Christmas in the Tattie Barn… an event that we have loved running has come to an end (at least for now)…

In honesty, this is a scary decision to have made and equally scary to share. It also feels right.

We are delighted though that we are instead bringing a little bit of Arngask to your doorstep instead and we wil be covering such a huge area of Scotland. To be honest, we need this support more than ever.

I’m so proud of what we achieved, now it’s time for a little break and something new ♥️🎄🎅

From the bottom of my heart, I want to say thank you to every single one of you who came to this event over the years. To the amazing team who gave up time to help and to the Doig’s, who graciously opened up their farm for us.

We have been harvesting chillies from our tunnel recently and aren’t they just beautiful? Incredible colours and varieties that are heading for a few different homes - into hotels, hot sauces and bakeries.

Here are some of the varieties we planted:

We had the most amazing harvest of damsons from our damson tree in the orchard. From this brilliant abundance, we have made a very special edition of Damson Jelly which is mouth dropping good! We will be releasing these at Christmas as a limited run and the jelly will be perfect as a side for your Christmas meat, with cheese or even on toast!

It’s divine… whoever manages to nab one is a lucky sausage!

There is still an abundance of veg coming from our tunnels and fields. One little helper has been doing a fantastic job of lifting and carrying produce into crates ready for veggie boxes.

We have harvested outstanding savoy cabbages this year which I think are the most beautiful cabbages with their minute details. Cooked slow with butter and garlic, this cabbage is an absolute fave.

Our purple sprouting broccoli is now done for the year (another post incoming about this beauty of a crop) but it has to be one of my favourite plants to see in the field. From its healthy green leaves, to the vibrant purple heads and then flowering to bright yellow and feeding the bees.

The spring greens have been larger than my head and we seem to have a never ending harvest of tomatoes.

We’ve battled lots of weeds in the garden this year but we have had some really cracking veggies produced.
