We’re back at Bowhouse market this Sunday — and we’re fair chuffed, buzzing, and already practising our “hand picked strawberries and wild foraged elderflower” routine.

If you’ve never been, picture an indoor farmers’ market so perfectly organised it would make your granny dab her eyes with a hankie. Then cram it full of Scotland’s finest makers, bakers, growers, and general legends until the rafters start thinking about unionising.

And right in the middle of it all… oor Angie, stationed from 10am–4pm, armed with a glorious line‑up of fruity wonders for you to sip, swirl, sniff, and generally faff aboot with like a seasoned wine druid.

Come for the atmosphere, Stay for the samples.
Leave with a warm glow, a new favourite drink, and at least one story that begins with “you’ll never believe what happened at Bowhouse…”

See you there — it’s always a belter 🍓😎 🍓

Tastebuds at the ready — we’re storming the Bishopbriggs Beer Festival this Saturday and oor Angie is already warming up her legendary “just a wee splash” move (which, let’s be honest, is never remotely wee).

We’re rolling in with:
🍏 Pictish Cider
🍓 Berry Pictish
🍷 A squad oh fruity wines
⚡ Enough mischief to reboot the national grid

This isn’t just a festival — it’s a full‑blown social event with bonus hydration and accidental new friendships.

📍 Allan Glens Rugby Club, Bishopbriggs
🕐 1pm – 7pm

Swing by for a blether, a laugh, and a sip that’ll have you saying, “oh that’s dangerously nice.”
You’ll pop in for a “quick look” and suddenly it’s two hours later and you’ve adopted three pals and a cider.

If you’re joining the carry‑on, gie this a wee 👍 so the algorithm knows you’re a person of taste.

💥STOCKIST UPDATE💥
That's the lovely folk at Goodbrand & Ross fully restocked in time for the weekend. Pop in for some lovely Cairn O'Mohr fruit wines and ciders - they go wonderfully well with a slice of homemade cake 🎂 😋 I opted for the coconut millionaire slice to go with my coffee (I know - but im driving 😉)@@

There’s nothing quite like turning Scotland’s wild bounty into wine. One day you’re picking berries, the next you’re watching a brew steam away like it’s trying to contact the spirit world.

Perfect timing then — this week’s special is our Blackcurrant & Elderberry beauty, dressed up in a stunning label by the brilliant Emmanuelle of femimystic. Honestly, it’s so bonnie you’ll want to frame it before you drink it.
There's a link in the comment section for money off this week 😎

If this gave you a smile, gie it a like so the algorithm thinks you’re into wholesome Scottish chaos.

The Scottish Traditional Boat Festival will return in Portsoy over the weekend of 12-14 June 2026.

MORAY FIRTH… THE BANANA BOAT IS NOT COMING
We’re heading North this weekend for the full shebang — a whole weekend of fruity carry‑on, tasters galore, and Rod trying to charm shiny pennies out of your pockets in exchange for the most flavourful fruit wine your tongue has ever met.

Now… we were planning to arrive in style by sailing our banana boat up the Moray Firth and dropping anchor like a couple of tropical pirates.
But let’s be honest — that ship has sailed. Literally. Figuratively. Emotionally.

So instead, here’s a wee nostalgic throwback:
Back in the day, owners Ron & Judith (and Grant) actually sailed up the River Tay in a banana boat to launch our Millennial masterpiece — the legendary Banana Wine.
Only 2000 bottles ever made, each one hand‑signed by Ron himself, back when Poundland biros lasted longer than a week and didn’t explode at the sight of responsibility.

This weekend won’t involve any questionable nautical decisions…
but it will involve:
Plenty of tasters (our “try before you buy” market research programme)
Rod on top form (he says hopefully)
A fruity good time from start to finish

If you’re up North, come find us — we promise wine, laughs, and absolutely zero banana‑related transport disasters.

Drop a wee 👍 if you remember the Banana Wine era — or if you just want to see Rod attempt sea‑captain energy on dry land.

“The Joys of Fermented Forestry”
There’s nothing quite like the moment your giant demi‑john starts steaming away like it’s plotting something.
That’s Spring Oak Leaf Wine for you — one minute you’re foraging in the woods, the next you’re standing over a bubbling cauldron wondering if you should stir it clockwise for luck.
It’s the smell of Scotland’s hedgerows and forests turning into something drinkable.
It’s nature saying, “Aye go on then, hae a wee glass.”

Wild foraged leaves, a bit of sunshine, and a lot of patience — that’s how we do it.
