Today's the day. My eldest Freya and her friend Kate are finishing an 800km cycle all the way from Norfolk to Aberfeldy, and by this afternoon they'll be freewheeling back into our driveway.
My wife Pia and daughter Alice, joined them for the final stretch all the way from Strathallan School, where the girls used to be pupils what feels like not too long ago.
They set off as complete beginners on their bikes and they've ridden the whole way on B roads. It's been a proper challenge for two fantastic 21 year olds.
They're doing it all for the PSP Association, a charity that means a great deal to us since Freya's Swedish grandmother Mormor, was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2024 and then PSP last year. They've raised over £5000 between them so far, and today feels like the moment to give that one last push. If you're able to their page is "500 Miles for Mormor" [link in our stories] every donation helps.
I couldn't be prouder of both of them.
