Well, that’s Linlithgow Marches wrapped up! 🍻

The first photo shows Farmer D and I enjoying a well-earned half pint after a cracking day. The second photo tells the real story of how the day ended… 😴🚗

Poor Lexi was absolutely exhausted from being petted, fussed over and generally adored by everyone she met. As for Farmer D, after a 2.30am start for milking and then a full day serving customers, he didn’t stand much chance of staying awake either!

A huge thank you to Strangers Brewing for inviting us along and to the wonderful people of Linlithgow for such a warm welcome and fantastic support throughout the day. We met so many lovely folk, had plenty of laughs, and sold a lot of good food along the way.

Now it’s time for a bit of rest before we do it all again somewhere else!

Here’s to the next time, Linlithgow. 🍻🐄🐕❤️

We’re busy preparing for a little Tuesday jaunt to set up alongside the fabulous Strangers Brewing for the Linlithgow Marches.

It’s our first time attending, so we’re not quite sure what to expect, but we’re really looking forward to being part of such a well-loved local tradition.

We’ll be serving up our hot food menu throughout the day, so whether you’re after a breakfast roll, a burger, pulled pork, or one of our flatbreads, make sure you pop by and see us.

If you’re heading along to the Marches, come and say hello. We’ll be parked up next to Strangers Brewing and looking forward to a great day meeting new faces and soaking up the atmosphere.

See you in Linlithgow! 🍔🌯🍺

Another weekend complete, and what a lovely one it was! 😊

One of the highlights was seeing returning customers from the Scone Palace Garden Fair who were still buzzing about the tremendous demonstration by Fraser Bell, chef at 63 Tay Street. They were back for more of our mince so they could recreate the dish at home again! Honestly, hearing that warmed my heart so much that I had to message Fraser and let him know straight away.

The next heartwarming encounter came from a customer who had bought from us earlier this year. She’d unfortunately thrown away the packaging and couldn’t remember our business name, but thankfully she remembered my smiling face! 😄 She was absolutely delighted to find us again because, in her words, we make the best sausages she’s ever tasted. They were so good that she’d got the rest of her family hooked on them too.

Sadly, by the time she found us we’d sold out of sausages, but not to worry we will be getting a fresh order delivered to her very soon.

So, this feels like the perfect time to remind everyone that we do deliver! 🚚

We’re regularly delivering throughout Angus, Fife, Dundee and Perthshire, so there’s no need to go without your favourite Good-Life Farming produce. Just drop us a message and we’ll be happy to help.

Thank you to every single one of you who continues to support our family farm. Hearing your stories and seeing you come back time and time again really does make all the hard work worthwhile. ❤️

What a fantastic day at Perth Farmers' Market yesterday!

We completely sold out on the hot food trailer, which is always amazing, but even better was seeing so many people who enjoyed a hot roll or flatbread then head over to the produce stall to take some fresh meat home. That’s exactly what it’s all about – connecting people with local food and the farmers who produce it.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported us yesterday, and indeed every day. We genuinely appreciate every purchase, recommendation and friendly chat.

Today, Farmer D is heading to Aberfeldy Farmers' Market, while it’s an all-girls team at HogsCroft Hedgehog Rescue for their annual Open Day.

It was lovely to go along last night to set up and see the new critical care cabin and rehabilitation cabin fully completed. These fantastic facilities have been made possible through a year of fundraising and the incredible support shown at last year’s Open Day.

If you’re looking for something to do today, come along and say hello – we’d love to see you there!

Farmer D and I are busy filling the fridge with fresh produce ready for the weekend! 🥩🐖🐑

Farmer D will be on the stall at Perth Farmers' Market this Saturday. You have been warned 😉. If you know, you know… I think upselling has become his favourite pastime these days!

This month we have:
✅ Fresh Rose Veal
✅ Rare Breed Pork
✅ Hogget

While Farmer D is keeping everyone stocked up, I’ll be in the hot food trailer serving up hot rolls and flatbreads.🍔 🥓 🔥

If there’s anything you’d like us to keep aside for you, just drop me a message and we’ll make sure it’s waiting for you.

See you at the weekend!

Sorry, sorry, sorry! I’ve been absolutely useless on here this weekend, but it’s actually been a massive weekend for the Good-Life Farming family.

We’ve had food demonstrations galore!

Farmer D was at Scone Palace Garden Fair on Friday and Saturday, where I was also busy coordinating the Perth Farmers' Market area, including the cookery theatre and demonstration programme. It was fantastic to see talented chefs showcasing produce from the traders.

On Friday, Sarah Rankin Cooks used our Rose Veal escalopes in her demonstration, creating a delicious dish and introducing even more people to our produce.

On Saturday, Fraser Bell from 63 Tay Street used both our Rose Veal and Rare Breed Pork in two of the six dishes he showcased. He served our Rose Veal brisket with macaroni cheese – not a combination we’d ever thought of, but it looked and tasted incredible! He also gave us all some inspiration for Taco Tuesday with Rare Breed Pork tacos made using hot honey from Cloverlea Apiaries -'The Friendly Bee Company'. We’re seriously considering that one as a future street food special. Definitely food for thought… see what I did there?

Meanwhile, over in Livingston, Betsy Anderson chose our Rare Breed Pork mince for her demonstration at the West Lothian Producers Market.

Needless to say, between all the demonstrations we now have no pork mince or Rose Veal brisket left!

We are beyond proud that our produce was selected by these talented chefs and demonstrators. They all did a fantastic job of showcasing what local producers can offer, and we’re incredibly grateful for their support.

A huge thank you to Sarah, Fraser and Betsy, and to everyone who came along to watch, taste, ask questions and support local producers this weekend. What a weekend it’s been! 🐷🐄🍴👏
