Rooted in farming. Supporting its future. 🌾

Farming has always been part of the story at Aberargie. From the barley grown in the fields surrounding our distillery to the generations of farming knowledge behind it, it’s where our wh**ky begins.

We’re proud to be supporting the Scottish Association of Young Farmers Clubs (SAYFC), donating £1 from every bottle of Aberargie Expressions sold in the UK to help support young farmers in the East region.

A small way of giving back to the community that plays such an important part in what we do. 🥃🌾

Snapshots from last week, celebrating the launch of new documentary exploring Perthshire’s distilling history. 🥃

A fitting setting to share Aberargie Expressions - two whiskies that explore the influence of barley through Golden Promise and Laureate, grown on our own farms here in Perthshire.🌾

Introducing Aberargie Expressions.🥃

Our wh**ky is shaped by four defining pillars: Golden Promise barley, Laureate barley, first-fill Bourbon cask maturation and first-fill Sherry cask maturation.🥃

The first two releases explore the barley.🌾

Two varieties, grown on our family farms and distilled separately, each matured in the way we believe allows its individual character to shine.

Aberargie Expressions. Launching tomorrow.🥃

At the heart of our wh**ky are four defining pillars: Golden Promise barley, Laureate barley, first-fill Sherry cask maturation and first-fill Bourbon cask maturation.

For our first Expressions, we explore two of those four pillars; the barley.🌾

Golden Promise and Laureate are grown on our family farms, then distilled and matured in the way we believe allows the individual character of each variety to shine.

Two barley varieties. Two distinct expressions. Two of the four pillars that shape Aberargie.🌾

Available from tomorrow.

Under one week until Laureate and Golden Promise arrive.🥃

🌾Golden Promise🌾
Made exclusively with Golden Promise barley, this expression is matured in a combination of first-fill Bourbon and Sherry casks, The result brings notes of buttery pastry and baked orchard fruits, balanced by a gentle warmth of spice.

🌾Laureate🌾
Made entirely with Laureate barley, this expressions combines first-fill Bourbon and Sherry cask maturation, resulting in notes of candied orange peel, dried fruits with fresh orchard fruit, leading to a lingering honeyed finish.

Two expressions created to showcase each barley variety in the way we believe it shines best.🥃

From the fields surrounding our distillery to the wh**ky in your glass, this is an exploration of barley.

Available from 15th September.

We were delighted to welcome and from to Aberargie Distillery on a beautiful sunny day back in July.🌾
We are also thrilled to share the trailer for the first episode of their exciting new series, exploring the fascinating question:
Why didn’t Perthshire become a powerhouse of Scotch wh**ky distillation?🥃

With a shared passion for wh**ky history and the connection between farming and distilling, we were absolutely over the moon that Dave and Arthur chose our farm distillery, just south of Perth, as the starting point for their journey.
Want to discover the story behind Perthshire’s lost distilleries? Watch the full first episode on YouTube on 10th September at 8pm.

Set your reminder, you won’t want to miss it!⏰️
