This week sees the end of an era and a new beginning.

I've had the pleasure and privilege of serving you from my catering trailer 'The Lunch Box' for the past 22 years, 20 years at Whitefriars Street - with 17 of those years working alongside my wife Lynda.

Over this time, I've served many customers, some who have become good friends. I've seen it all over the years: from being asked for a fried onion roll to putting sauce on a certain way and in a particular order… I've been told stories of great joy and great sadness, I probably have enough material to write a book!

I can say with all honesty that my time at Whitefriars has been a blast. The laughs and banter, the characters and the people who cheered me up on a cold winter's day - I'll miss you all.

This Friday will be my last day serving you and I'm pleased to say it’s back as it started 22 years ago as Lynda will once again be joining me for one last shift!

But this will not be the end for 'The Lunch Box'; it will still be in place and working at Whitefriars under its new owner Claire MacLeod.

Having come to know Claire over the last weeks, I know The Lunch Box is in safe hands and she also has great ideas for the future.

Thank you to each and every one of my customers over the years for all the memories. ❤️

We’ve met so many lovely people over the years and will miss you all, but I’ve been reelected as councillor and am dedicated to represent the Perth City North community for the next 5 years 😬
