Broomhall Feeds have been trading as a wholesaler since 1987. Traditionally we were farmers, who produced Timothy Hay on the fertile land in the Carse of Gowrie. Marshall Muirhead developed a horse food from the hay with molasses and produced Broomhall Haymix. Demand for this product grew and as a result the business developed and we now supply equestrian products and petfood

The purpose-built warehouse stocks a wide range of different manufacturers animal feeds, horse and pet feeds, cereals, feed supplements and animal bedding. We aim to provide the best service and advice at a competitive price. Our knowledgeable and qualified staff can help with any queries you may have. We currently own 6 vehicles which are used solely for our own deliveries. We stock a wide range of pet and equine products from the following manufacturers:-

Equerry, Nestle, Pedigree , Chudleys, James Wellbeloved, Wilsons, Burgess, Baileys, Dodson & Horrell, Spillers, Dengie, NAF, Johnston & Jeff, Blue Chip, Equivite, TopSpec plus many more. We currently employ 21 staff from our purpose-built offices and warehouse. Being a family run business we can be flexible to suit your needs and always appreciate any sugestions you may have to improve this service

Both lorries back into the yard today at the same time to use the weighbridge before heading west. Weighbridge is proving to be a great success with rave reviews from all that have been in to use. Reminder that it is a public weighbridge open 24/7 perfect for those busy harvest hours. Cash or on account which can be set up at any point.

💚 Top Tip Thursday 💚

Want to get the very best from your Aubiose bedding? Here’s how to keep your stable fresh, clean and working at its best:

💚 Keep your bed deep and fluffy. A deeper bed creates a better, cleaner system.
💚 Top up regularly. Even if there isn’t any wet to remove, we recommend adding around half a bale every 7–10 days to maintain a lovely deep bed.
💚 Only remove the wet. There’s no need to turn over or throw up the whole bed. Simply lift out the wet patch – sometimes it’s only a forkful!
💚 Use your banks. Sift through the top layer of the banks to collect droppings, helping to keep the main bed undisturbed.
💚 Refresh your banks. Bring one bank down into the stable and replace it with fresh Aubiose. This gives you fresh, clean bedding during the week to help keep your bed topped up.

Aubiose isn’t a standalone product, it’s part of a wider system.

Our h**p fibre is used in textiles, and a large share of the woody core goes into building materials like h**pcrete, where carbon is stored long-term. Aubiose comes from what’s left, meaning nothing goes to waste.

Because the crop absorbs CO₂ as it grows, and some of that carbon is locked away in other uses, our bedding can be considered carbon neutral, and in some cases even carbon negative- even with transport from our sunny French fields!

Alongside that, h**p typically requires fewer inputs than straw or shavings and leaves behind a more beneficial muck heap, making it a better fit for the land as well as the yard- it's fantastic to spread back on your fields.
