🌱 Inspiring the next generation of food industry talent!

Members of our UK Logistics team recently visited a local school to give A-Level Geography students a behind-the-scenes look at how fresh produce makes its way from farm to fork! 🌍🍊

Using AMFRESH as a real-world example, they explored global food supply chains, sustainability, technology and some of the challenges involved in getting fresh produce onto supermarket shelves.

The visit was part of Feeding Britain’s Future, an initiative led by IGD to connect young people with the food and drink industry and highlight the exciting career opportunities available.

It was great to see so much interest from the students, with plenty of questions throughout the session!

A big thank you to the team for sharing their knowledge and helping inspire the next generation! 💚

💚☕ £821 RAISED FOR MACMILLAN CANCER SUPPORT! ☕💚

A huge thank you to everyone who baked, donated and got involved in our Macmillan Coffee Morning events across three of our UK sites!

Together, our teams raised an amazing £821 for Macmillan Cancer Support. 🌟

Every pound raised helps Macmillan provide vital support for people living with cancer and their loved ones, from specialist nurses and emotional support to financial guidance and information.

We’re incredibly proud to see our teams coming together to support such an important cause.

Thank you to everyone who helped make our Coffee Mornings a success! 💚👏

Celebrating European Day of Languages 🌍💚

At AMFRESH, we’re proud to support our colleagues to develop their English language skills through the English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) programme.

ESOL provides practical English language learning for colleagues whose first language isn’t English, helping build confidence in communication both at work and in everyday life.

Since 2022, 327 colleagues have taken part in the programme 👏

Meet Gabriel, one of the brilliant colleagues who has taken part in ESOL. Gabriel is a valued member of our Peterborough team, an active member of our Peterborough Voice Committee, and was recently recognised at our quarterly AMFRESH Awards with the We Trust Award. 🏆

We’re incredibly proud to have been shortlisted for two awards this year:

🔧 Engineering Apprentice of the Year – Jack Clark

A huge congratulations to Jack, who was awarded Highly Commended in his category! 👏 A fantastic and well-deserved recognition of the hard work and dedication he continues to show throughout his apprenticeship.

Being shortlisted for two awards is a brilliant achievement and a real reflection of the talent, commitment and development happening across our engineering teams in the UK.

It was a fantastic evening celebrating apprentices and businesses from across the region and recognising the people building the skills of the future.

A huge congratulations to Jack and our engineering teams, whose continued commitment to supporting and developing our apprentices makes achievements like this possible. 👏

As a Technical Manager at AMFRESH, Nathaniel works closely with suppliers from around the world to help maintain high standards across our fresh produce.

From supplier visits and packhouse audits to longer-term projects focused on areas such as pesticide reduction and audit performance, no two days are quite the same. 🌍🍇

For Nathaniel, working at AMFRESH is rewarding, engaging and purposeful. 💚
