At AMFRESH, great leadership starts with understanding the reality of the work happening every day across our operations.
We're proud to have launched our Leadership in Action initiative, which sees our Directors and Heads of Department step onto the shop floor to complete a hands-on operational shift, taking on key roles including:

The goal is simple: bring leadership closer to where the work happens.
By working directly alongside our frontline teams, leaders gain first-hand experience of the pace, pressures, and challenges of our operational environment. It's an opportunity to strengthen relationships, deepen understanding, and stay connected to the work that drives our business every day.
We also recognise that those on the front line and in our factories often have the best insights into how we can improve. In many cases, they may already have the answers to questions leadership is asking. Leadership in Action creates opportunities for meaningful conversations, shared learning, and a stronger connection between decision-making and day-to-day operations.
Recently, Pablo Munoz, Managing Director AMK/T, completed a full shift stacking and de-stacking on one of the citrus lines at our Peterborough site.
"Safe to say it is far more physically demanding than it looks. A lot of respect for those who do this day in, day out. It was great to experience first-hand the pace, coordination and effort that goes into every case that leaves AMK. The hard work the team puts in on the shop floor is what makes everything else possible."
Pete Benson, Head of UK Logistics, also spent a day working alongside the warehouse team.
"It was great to see excellent teamwork at every stage of the process and the team really push to deliver every case possible. There are hundreds of small decisions made every day that help us deliver the best service possible, and it was fascinating to see a fraction of these at first hand."
These experiences reinforce an important message: some of the best ideas, insights and solutions already exist within our frontline teams. By listening, learning and working side by side, we can make better decisions together.
Leadership in Action is another step in making leadership visible, connected, and grounded in the operational experience that powers AMFRESH.
