USA Cask B**r Judging.
Monday`s are normally a day off for www.bottleandboard.co.uk But yesterday was anything but normal. Gina and I found ourselves a part of a carefully chosen small team of b**r experts, tasked with judging 54 American cask b**rs, for the Michael Jackson award.
Over the following four hours, we sampled the b**rs, compared tasting notes and assiduously whittled them down to a dozen, which we then revisited and discussed, before further paring them down to the last eight.
Selecting the final eight b**rs was no mean feat, as there were some astonishingly well made b**rs on offer. With a range of between 2.8 % ,& 9% abv and a whole palatte of colours and styles.
A big thank-you! (I think?) goes out to Mr Steve Dunkley for presenting us all with this monumental task.
