Xtreme Ales Greetings from the Xtreme Team. An Award Winning, family run, Peterborough Micro-Brewery.

Xtreme Ales Brewery was purchased on May 4th 2020 by two of the Hunt brothers Martyn and Simon. It continues to be a family run brewery producing many of the great award winning ales as well as a strong portfolio of new recipes the Hunt brothers have brought to the business. Commercial production at Xtreme Ales originally commenced in July 2013, in a double garage in Turves, Whittlesey near Peter

borough. Operated by the founders Mike and Neil Holmes, the Xtreme beers started appearing at local pubs and beer festivals. Due to its popularity the small "Nano Brewing Kit" was upgraded to a 2.5 BB plant which is still used today. Eventually the operation outgrew the double garage and the brewing plant was relocated to its new home in Alfric Square, Peterborough, where it still resides. Mike Holmes continued brewing great beers old and new up until early 2020 when finally he decided to take off his wellingtons for the last time and retire. Martyn and Simon "The Xtreme Team" have taken up the challenge to continue the family run business, expand on the great production so far and develop the Xtreme brand to match the passion we have for great real ale..

Greetings from The Xtreme Team...... It's all a bit last minute here, but we like to keep you on your toes! ... If you have seen a copy of the current BRE and found the will to read our "Brewery Updates" you will be aware that our most Xcellent BlaX Forest Stout has recently won, yet another, very prestigious award.....

“On behalf of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), I am pleased to advise Xtreme brewery that cask BlaX Forest has won the Gold award in the Speciality Ales – Flavoured category of the 2026 East Anglia/East Central awards for Champion Beer of Britain.”....

Not too tardy for a little family run brewery in Peterborough!

It has taken a little while to come through but our BLO (Brewery Liaison Officer), Mike, has organised a gathering to present the certificate, and get the obligatory cheesy photos... This will be tonight at The Butchers Arms in Werrington, around 2000 hrs, but you know how it is with these things!

Ironically it also clashes with "Cheesy Tuesday" so its not only the grins, you also get to sample some cheese and pair it with our multiple award winning BlaX Forest which will also be available on tap...

Greetings from the Xtreme Team..... Its been a while, the months have moved on and now the Alconbury Weald Beer Festival is upon us... The Xtreme Team are supplying and working for The Watch Office, that are hosting the third festival, at The Pavilion, next to the Cricket pitch in the heart of Alconbury Weald and opposite The Watch Office Bar and Kitchen...

To make your lives easy I have attached the beer & cider list... There will also be other soft and alcoholic drinks available and live entertainment...
