We get this question often!

What feed do you give them?

So let's explain this again...
We only give our chickens the best feed that we can get.
The Organic Feed Company, Organic and Soy free adult feed
*(our broiler/meat chicks this year we had to use Marriages Organic chick crumb, which does contain a little Soy, so 15% of their lifespan at the beginning of their lifes)

They also occasionally get Organic Oregano extract or Organic Apple C***r Vinegar in their Filtered water too...

And then the rest of their diet is our beautifully plentiful Pasture.

Do you buy organic chicken? 🐔
If you do, do you know where it really came from? 🤷‍♀️

Food labels can tell part of the story, but not always the whole story. Free range doesn't necessarily mean a life on pasture, and organic doesn't tell you who raised your food, what the animals ate, or how they were cared for.

At Castors Pastures, you know exactly where your chicken comes from. You can see the fields they roam, learn what they eat, how they drink, and who's looking after them every day.

And what about the price? 👀

Swipe through to see how our pasture-raised, organically fed chicken compares to a well-known premium supermarket brand.

Which would you buy? ⬇️

Paying more isn’t about the chicken - we believe it’s about what goes into raising it 🌿👨‍🌾
Supermarket chicken is cheap because corners are cut.
We take raising chickens back to how it should be done - fresh pasture, real sunlight, regenerative farming, and farmers who actually know their birds.
Pasture‑raised is real farming - better flavour, better welfare, better for the land.
