Celebrating The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo with Roebuck Estates.

Taking place from 7 - 29 August, The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo held at Edinburgh Castle is a world-famous celebration of music, dance and military precision and we are proud to be poured in The Royal Gallery as part of the drinks reception at this most prestigious event.

With breathtaking views of Edinburgh Castle and the City, our 2019 Classic Cuvée was also enjoyed by guests as part of the full dining experience in the exclusive Royal Gallery and this weekend marks the final days of this iconic event.

This Bank Holiday weekend marks the final weekend of our summer pop-up at the Roebuck Bar, before we head back to the vineyard for harvest.

On Saturday 29th August, we’ll be celebrating with our vintage English sparkling w**es, stone-baked sourdough pizzas from Al Duomo and live music from classically trained musician Carl Cassidy.

After an exceptionally warm summer, harvest is approaching earlier than usual this year.

But ripeness isn’t determined by the calendar alone. As harvest draws closer, our viticulture team is regularly tasting and testing the grapes, looking at the balance between sugar and acidity, the development of flavour and the condition of the fruit.

The warm, dry weather has accelerated ripening, but deciding exactly when to pick still comes down to finding that balance - and it can differ from vineyard to vineyard, and between Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.

A few days can make a remarkable difference, and with the 2026 harvest now just around the corner, we’re watching closely!

Back for another year, our much-loved Feast in the Vines returns to our Petworth vineyard this August.
