Meet Amber, who’s been part of the Pitlochry team for 4 years and is usually found on the deli side of the shop!

She came to us through Sally — so we’ll give Sally the credit/blame for that one 😅

Amber’s favourite part of the job is the people: the team, the lovely customers and the general buzz of a busy local shop. Her go-to recommendation? A hot roll. Simple, solid advice, especially if you’ve walked in “just for a look” and suddenly remembered you’re starving 🥓

📢 Important Travel Update for Anyone Visiting Pitlochry This Summer
Pitlochry is open and very much looking forward to welcoming you — but if you're heading here via the A9 from the south, there's something you need to know before you travel.
From Monday 15th June 2026, Transport Scotland will be carrying out essential repairs to the A9 northbound slip road into town. The entry slip road will be closed until Hogmanay 2026 while a permanent structural fix is made to the road banking — badly damaged by the River Tummel over two winters.
✅ Southbound slip road out of Pitlochry remains fully open.

🔄 Diversion: Simply continue past Pitlochry and use the northern slip road signed for Killiecrankie — it adds just a few minutes to your journey.
All the walks, shops, eateries, and attractions are fully open. We'd say that's still more than worth the detour. 😊

Nearly 30 years since Scotland last made it to a World Cup, so we’ll allow a bit of excitement ⚽🏆

Stock up for the weekend with breakfast rolls, pies, snacks, burgers, sausages, and BBQ bits if the weather brightens up! We've also got a selection of Wasted Degrees beers and cider available 🍻

Both shops are open on bank holiday Monday too, because apparently people still need fed after the final whistle 🍔

Meet Tammy, who’s been behind the butcher counter in Pitlochry since June 2009 — so 17 years of good chat, regular customers and knowing exactly what to recommend for tea!

She’s a fan of ribeye, steak burgers and anything that works well on the barbecue, but she’s also your woman for a good slow cook, from shin to roast lamb.

Her favourite meal at home is spag bol with steak mince, which may also explain why David is very happy to “eat whatever Tammy makes”. Sensible man. 🍝
