If you’re looking for a Sunday roast that puts your nan’s dinner in retirement, look no further. Miller & Carter’s Sunday Roast deal is exactly what you'd expect from a steakhouse that already knows its way around a cow.
We went for the Signature Roast Experience, which included:
British & Irish roast sirloin, pink and melt-in-your-mouth
Beef dripping roast potatoes, crispy like they owe you money
Yorkshire pudding, the size of a hat and twice as useful for catching gravy
Cauliflower cheese, because even your 5-a-day should come with a blanket of molten joy
Roast seasonal veg, which actually had flavour and weren’t just plate decoration
Rich bone marrow & onion gravy – thick, luxurious, and borderline illegal it was that good.
The desserts? Lush. From silky Belgian chocolate brownies to their indulgent sticky toffee pudding – Amy tried to make eye contact with me while I was mid-bite and I just said, “not now.”
As for drinks? The cocktails were crafted, the whisky was smooth, and let’s just say Amy had to drive home… someone got a bit too enthusiastic with the old-fashioned enthusiasm.
⚠️ BUT this was just the prequel.
We’re planning a full-blown return for the main menu experience – the steaks look sensational and we want to do it justice. Think of this review as the teaser trailer – the main event is coming soon.
Verdict: No salt needed… yet.
