Some businesses survive. Others thrive. Mrs Brown’s has been doing both for 17 years.
While exploring Plymouth Market, we finally got round to trying Mrs Brown’s and now I completely understand why people keep recommending them.
Big respect to Georgie and Vince for building a business that’s been serving quality food for nearly two decades. In a world where businesses come and go, 17 years is an incredible achievement.
We ordered the Japanese milk bread Cubano and the Chicken Katsu Sando, and neither disappointed. Fresh, flavour-packed, and the sort of food that has you planning your next visit before you’ve even finished eating.
What impressed me just as much was the atmosphere. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and clearly proud of what they’re serving. You can feel the passion behind the counter, and that makes a huge difference.
Unfortunately, we ran out of room before getting stuck into the sweet treats, which looked unreal. That just means we’ll have to make another trip and give them the attention they deserve in a separate review.
If you’re in Plymouth and haven’t checked out Mrs Brown’s yet, put it on your list. Great food, great people, and a business that’s earned every bit of its reputation.
We’ll definitely be back. 👏🔥
