Jakes is looking for reliable night staff to join our busy takeaway team. This role is ideal for people who work well under pressure and want steady, year-round night work.

🕕 Hours: Between 6pm – 5am (flexible shifts available)
💷 Pay: High rates of pay (based on experience)
📍 Location: Plymouth
🍔 Environment: Fast-paced takeaway

What you’ll be doing:
• Food preparation and service
• Supporting the team during busy night periods
• Keeping the kitchen and front area clean and organised
• Making sure orders go out quickly and correctly

What we’re looking for:
• Reliable availability for night shifts
• Able to commit to year-round work
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Good attitude and team player

Previous takeaway or catering experience is a bonus and will strengthen your application, but full training will be provided for the right people.

Important:

This role requires consistent, long-term availability. Unfortunately, we are unable to consider short-term or student-only availability.

As we roll into the final 3 weeks of the first semester, we want to give a huge shoutout to all the students — both our new faces and our returning legends — who’ve made the start of the 2025/26 season absolutely unreal.

From day one, you’ve brought the energy…
But Halloween?
💀🔥 You lot went MAD.
One of the best nights we’ve ever had — the costumes, the chaos, the pure vibes.

We appreciate every order, every late-night visit, every laugh, and every moment you’ve spent with us so far. You’ve made this semester one to remember.

And don’t worry — we’re open all the way through Christmas, keeping you fed whether you’re staying in Plymouth or popping back between plans. 🎄🍔
