We will be starting around 10am and each stop will be a maximum of 30 minutes depending on customers.
Please note that after this week there will be no service until week commencing 7th September when our new sales assistant starts. The timetable will be confirmed nearer the time.

On YOUR Block - Mobile Butchers – Week 2 Route

As many of you know, there have been a few changes behind the scenes. **Michael is now back on the van**, whilst also managing the day-to-day running of the shop. Because of this, our timetable won't be quite as rigid as it has been in the past while we balance both responsibilities.

The good news is that **we've recruited a new Sales Assistant who will be joining us in September**, and once they're settled into the team we'll be working towards a refreshed and more consistent van schedule.

Over the next few weeks you'll notice a few temporary changes:

📅 **This week** – Please see the Week 2 timetable below.

📅 **Week commencing 3rd August** – We'll be running a **combined Week 1 & Week 2 route**, making sure we continue to visit as many of our regular stops as possible.

📅 **Weeks commencing 10th & 17th August** – Unfortunately, due to pre-booked annual leave, **the Mobile Butcher Van will not be operating** for these two weeks.

📅 **Week commencing 24th August** – We'll publish a new timetable and begin introducing a revised schedule moving forward.

We really appreciate your patience and understanding while we make these changes. Our aim is to continue bringing quality local meat to our communities whilst ensuring our shop is running smoothly too.

Yesterday was one of those days. Apologies to anyone the Mobile Butcher van missed but Michael had to get back to the shop as Ryan had a little slip up with his knife and I had to take him to hospital. Thank you Mark for your first aid and patching him up. It's typical these things happen when I've just popped out to Give Blood. Ryan Hosking is fine and can still work. No major damage done.

Are you a customer-focused individual with experience behind the wheel? Allisons Butchers is looking for a reliable, flexible Sales Assistant to join our team in Plymouth.
This is predominantly a **sales-driven role** where you will be the face of our business, serving our community from our mobile butcher van and supporting our retail shop.
**The Basics:** 16+ hours per week - Mornings, Evening & weekends on a Rota basis.
**Sales Focus: Providing excellent customer service, processing payments, and sharing product knowledge in-store and on the mobile van.
**Driving: Operating our mobile butcher van—driving experience and a full, clean UK driving licence are essential.
**Flexibility:** Working across both the shop and the van as needed by the business.
**Start Date: We are looking for someone to start ASAP
**What We’re Looking For:**
A friendly, professional attitude with exceptional customer service skills.
The ability to use your initiative and follow hygiene standards (Level 2 training provided).
Comfortable with manual handling and standing for extended periods.

We call for changes to the 2013 Code of Practice on Noise from Ice-Cream Van Chimes to exempt or reasonably adapt rules for essential mobile food providers, including butcher vans serving vulnerable communities.
