VAN DRIVER / SALES ASSISTANT (Relief Position)

Hours: 6.30am–2.30pm, Monday to Friday
Closed on Bank Holidays and over Christmas
We are looking for a reliable and flexible Van Driver / Sales Assistant to join Sid's Catering in a relief role. You will receive a rota in advance and provide cover for staff sickness and absence. This position involves driving, customer service, cleaning duties, and general support across the business.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver products safely and on time
* Learn and drive regular routes including Castleford, Normanton, Pontefract, Wakefield, Leeds, Doncaster, and Barnsley
* Assist customers and provide friendly service
* Support in-store sales and enquiries
* Clean down work areas and assist with washing up
* Keep the van and workspace tidy and organised
* Load and unload stock
* Complete basic paperwork and stock checks
* Support additional duties when needed
Requirements:
* Full UK driving licence with a clean record
* Previous delivery or driving experience preferred
* Good communication and customer service skills
* Ability to lift and move stock
* Willingness to do cleaning and washing‑up tasks
* Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to rota changes
