🌟 National Apprenticeship Week 2026 🌟

As part of National Apprenticeship Week 2026, we’re proud to champion early talent at Ryvita and the people who help shape our future. Today, we’re celebrating one of our rising stars: Belal, our Maintenance & Electrical Engineering Apprentice.

🔧 Why an apprenticeship?
"I chose an apprenticeship because it offered the perfect balance between learning and real‑world experience. Instead of studying in a purely academic environment, I wanted to develop practical skills whilst simultaneously earning a qualification while working."

🤝 What he’s enjoyed most:
"One of the things I’ve enjoyed most is learning and working in such a welcoming and comfortable environment. The team on site and at my training provider are both extremely supportive and have made my introduction to the apprenticeship very enjoyable."

🌱 What he’s proud of:
"I’m proud of how quickly I’ve adapted to the workplace environment and how I've performed in my work that initially felt outside my comfort zone. It’s been amazing to see my efforts have been recognised."

💬 A skill he’s developed:
"I’ve developed more self‑assurance and strong communication skills, especially when it comes to working with colleagues, asking for feedback, and explaining my work clearly. This has helped me feel more confident and effective day‑to‑day."

👏 We’re thrilled to support Belal on his journey and can’t wait to see how he continues to grow. Apprenticeships play a vital role in building future talent, and stories like Belal’s show just how impactful they can be.
