We know about hard water… we do live in the south of England! Hard water actually affects 60% of the UK, which means probably you too.

Every time your combi fires up, it heats water to make steam, and that’s where the limescale builds up (the steam generator and heat exchanger).

How can you tell? Weak steam and food cooking unevenly. Check these signs as soon as they appear so you can avoid an expensive repair.

The cost isn’t just to repair, it’s also the extra energy it uses. 1mm of scale on a heating surface adds around 7% energy use, up to 25% for 3mm!

It’s well worth doing a monthly descale, and for a pricey machine like this we also recommend a professional service every 6-12 months.
