Hey everyone, it’s been a few weeks since we updated, and I’d normally update our backers first - I tried that last night, but the Crowdfunder algorithms refused to let me send an update due to the content 🤔 It was 3am and after editing twice, I gave up 😂 but I’ll get an update out today!
The works needed set out by planning are well on the way to being completed.
A few things that still need doing are holding things up a little, but we have pretty much set a date to open…. Tuesday 3rd November.
That’s not the most riveting day of the week, is it?! 🤔😹
Well, maybe not, but it is 100% an important day for us after 10 months of that farce.
It’s cost us dearly, almost to the point of no return, but hey, we’re still here. 😻😻
Backer cards will be activated on the 3rd November (as long as that is the day we open), so thanks to all of our backers for hanging in there 🙏
We really do hope to see lots of you lovely people coming in to day hi over the coming weeks and months - missing the summer really did shaft us, and getting regular custom and building everything up is going to be so much harder over the winter… and with, unbelievably, nearly £8k owed to our consultants 🤯 it’s going to be tight - and I’m not angry at them for the costs, I’m am absolutely furious at BCP Planning for causing it though. Completely unnecessary and could have been dealt with in a matter of weeks with open dialog and a minuscule amount of common sense. When you all see what all the fuss was about, you’ll be laughing!
Seriously though, it is REALLY IMPORTANT that everyone understands that parking on site for customers is NOT allowed, not even if you ‘sneak your car in’! Please please just use the car park on the Quay, it’s 3 minutes walk away!
Aaaaaaaanyway, enough of this, I know half of you will skip to the end anyway…

What’s on today?
Well, we are brewing a brand new b**r!! A 4.2% pale ale using Galena, Dana and Aurora hops - it’ll be crystal clear and available in cask and keg!
So pop in and enjoy the most delicious smell ever made - brewing is just awesome for every sense!
Then later we have the fantastic Chippee KI-Yay serving up the best chips you’ll ever eat! Remember, this is the last full weekend we’ll be open for a while, whilst we wait for the go-ahead from the Planning people in BCP Council… this has been put back to 7th October now 😬🤯🤬🤬🤬
Open Saturday and Sunday 12-9 too - don’t miss it 😊🐈🍺😻

It’s arrived!!! We’ll have our own toilet block very soon - no more nasty site bogs 😂
