Granny has some wood work to do. Let’s get the tool kits out and put together super frames.
Great fun, hammer banging and he soon grasped the way they went together.
I drew the line at popping the wax in, figured the wax would not have survived well.

Turns out there were two queens in these little cast swarms.
A golden one that landed on my phone before I could catch her and a dark one by the box (next reel) that I caught in a queen cage and popped in the box.
Honeybees live by their own laws of nature.

Water is essential to bees. Do you have a bee friendly supply in your garden?
Dishes of water with stones in for them

Create a bee drinking station by filling a shallow dish, saucer, or birdbath with pebbles, marbles, or twigs to provide landing spots and prevent drowning. Add fresh water, keeping it below the top of the stones, and place it in a shady, sheltered area near flowers. Change the water regularly.
Bees often come to water sources in the afternoon.

Asian Hornets prey on all pollinators. Jersey is over run with them and France struggles with them.

Queen honeybee searching for somewhere to lay in a quick Spring buildup. Beekeepers job to give her space or new comb which the bees will draw out with wax.
