Hey everyone! Ryan here with an important announcement.
After the better part of 3 rewarding and unforgettable years, I’ve made the decision that Downriver will be closing its doors for good at the end of September.
This was a really difficult decision, but ultimately, the right one for the business, my family, and myself. I’ve loved every minute of building and operating Downriver. It was my dream to run a roastery and a real privilege to actually get to do that. However, like so many other small businesses, there’s been its challenges along the way. And some real shifts this last year in my life and what’s important to me. With the lease coming to the end of its term soon, I’ve decided to end the business here - on a positive note and with its integrity intact.
So September is Downriver’s final chapter. Let’s make it a good one. We’ll be doing things as usual until the end of the month or until stock runs out (whichever happens first). Get your orders in so you don’t miss out!
To all of Downriver’s customers and supporters, thank you from the bottom of my heart. It’s been an absolute pleasure being your coffee roaster. While I’m sad to say goodbye to what I’ve built here, I’m also excited for whatever the next chapter may hold.
