Say hi to Tyson, a 32lb 4oz mirror! Caught yesterday on the specimen lake.

Carp caught today from the specimen lake:

28lb 10oz mirror on a banana pop up.

21lb 7oz linear mirror on a squid/octopus wafter.

12lb common on a pineapple pop up.

15lb 8oz mirror by the name Sergeant on a pineapple pop up.

After one month, we've finally done it 🎉

Huge congrats to Liam for catching one of our monsters - who he has decided to name Daisy - this afternoon on swim 12.

The common specimen weighed in at 32.2lb and was caught with a pink pop up.

Daisy currently holds our Specimen Lake record! 🏅

We've had a lovely 2 weeks with lots of beautiful carp caught! We had a lovely surprise just the other day with a 22lb common caught on the Bottom lake.
Our new Specimen Lake is doing well for our regular scales, but those bigger ones have done nothing but tease. We're looking forward to the day someone snags one!

Exciting News!! 🎉✨

We are so proud to finally be able to say that our Specimen Lake is close to opening day!

Save the date: Wednesday 1st April 2026 🌟

Be prepared for your bookings (please call 07968401551) as we have a brand new set of rules!

These can be found on our website, but they are as follows:
1. All anglers are to report to our caravan office to pay and have equipment checked.
2. Our age limit is 18+ with prior experience. We will allow 16+ but with an experienced adult who would be fishing themselves. Any exceptions are to our discretion.
3. You must have a fishing/rod license.
4. The owner reserves the right to refuse entry or evict any angler breaking rules.
5. Our opening hours are:
8am-5pm (April-October)
8am-4pm (November-March).
We are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, with the only exception of being open on bank holiday Mondays!
We do not offer night fishing as of right now.
6. No alcoholic drink or illegal substances allowed on the premises.
7. 40" landing nets only - keep nets not allowed. All nets must be dipped on arrival.
8. Maximum of 2 rods (carp rods only) per person. Do not leave your rods unattended.
9. Carp care antiseptic to be used to treat any wounds on our fish.
10. Micro barb hooks only (4-8mm).
11. Cradle only. You must have a sling to return the fish to the water.
Only handle the fish over the cradle; no more than knee height. Do not carry the fish around by hand.
12. No tiger nuts, mixed particles, sweetcorn or artificial food allowed. *No bait boats.*
13. No float or bread surface fishing.
14. No braided main line, no fixed leaders, rigs or lead core leaders. Clip on lead or sliding weights only.
15. Strictly no BBQ's.
16. All litter must be taken with you on exit or put in one of our bins.
17. We do not allow spectators on our Specimen Lake.

Price for admission is £20/pp.

Please take photos of our Specimen fish and send them to us wherever possible. We aim to pin the best to a board with leading weights and names!

Attached are just some of the fish we have stocked. Always expect double figures, and anywhere up to and over 30lb.

Happy New year to all our regulars and those who are hoping to fish with us soon!

Just to reiterate: we are open!

We have spaces available on all ponds:

What we call our 'stock' pond (a newly refurbished pond we used to use to bring on fish that probably needs a new name!) - this is located very close to our Top pond for those who can't walk too far.
[We will always provide help with carrying gear and are looking into a mode of transportation for easier access from A to B].

Our Middle pond, a secluded area with lots of space to set up your gear.

And finally, our Bottom pond, a quiet area with great views. We are carrying out work here and there to improve this pond for your benefit.

As some of you already know, and for those who are new to us, we've taken a leap into a new venture recently. Our Top pond, up until the start of summer last year, was our fly fishing business (trout). Sometime soon, we'll be opening it up for Specimen fishing. Details will be posted following this post in the near future.
