Air An Lot Life on a croft in the Hebrides My name is Donald Macsween and I'm from Ness in the north end of the Isle of Lewis. Please get in touch if you want more info.

I come from a crofting family and have been running the family crofts since 2005. I now offer visitors the chance to get a taste of crofting life and some of the activities that are still part and parcel of life in this part of the islands. There will always be plenty livestock to see and visitors can be as hands on as they like.

Around 15 years ago, when consultations were taking place to replace the Isle of Lewis, requests were made to provide two smaller vessels, rather than the one big one we received. The additional sailings this week, while welcome, are a reminder of what could have been! Imagine not leaving Ness at 5.30am!

Easily handled (regularly done for collar maintenance), never been inside, not given much feed, tick acclimatised. Get your chequebooks out!

Down in the mart catalogue as A Macsween but as far as I know my mum isn’t selling anything tomorrow!
