This Saturday 12 September, Lurgan Park will come alive for Culture in the Park with a packed programme of activities, entertainment and experiences for all ages, celebrating the rich mix of cultures and communities that make our Borough such a special place to live.

From lively music and energetic dancing to delicious world food and creative crafts – there’ll be something to enjoy around every corner.

The groups showcasing their talents on the day will be Ravara Pipe Band, The Kilted Dance Company, Trim the Velvet Irish Dancers, Chinese Culture & Dance NI, Dontham Indian Dancers, St. Ronan’s College Trad Group – Spraoi and Magwere.

This year will also have exclusive live cooking demonstrations from talented local Food Heartland chefs, making mouthwatering cultural dishes that will delight the senses! The Artisan Markets will also feature, showcasing some of the best crafts and goods that the Borough has to offer including Macha's Orchard a social enterprise where the profits go to the communuity. It has a great range of unique health supplements, cider vinegars and delicious apple juices all from Co Armagh

We are really pleased to be nominated for these awards. There is a great need in our community to help older people and others with social isolation and loneliness. We also are creating employment and making beneficial health foods and sustainable apple based products using apples from the Orchard County of Ireland

🍏 EXHIBITOR HIGHLIGHT | MACHA’S ORCHARD

We’re delighted to welcome Macha’s Orchard back to Lamb & Local this Saturday!

Based in County Armagh, Macha’s Orchard takes one of Northern Ireland’s most distinctive local foods — the Armagh Bramley Apple — and transforms it into their unique Armagh Bramley Apple Powder.

The Armagh Bramley is particularly special because it has Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) status, recognising its strong connection to the place where it is grown. 🍏

The apple powder is made entirely from Armagh Bramleys and provides a versatile way to enjoy the fruit — sprinkle it over porridge, add it to smoothies or incorporate it into recipes.

Even better, Macha’s Orchard is about more than the product itself. Made by the Community for the Community, it is a great example of local food creating value close to home.

Come and meet the team, discover the story behind the Armagh Bramley, and pick up some apple powder to try for yourself.
