Saliha and Third Culture Kat we love everything that you stand for, everything you are and everything that you do.

We’re so honoured to have Third Culture Kat on our shelves. For those of you who do not know…Sal is a Pakistani chef, culinary artist, writer, activist and CEO of Third Culture Kat. Rooted to the sun-drenched town of Khangarh, South Punjab, Sal sat beneath mango trees and was raised in a family of farmers. So, when Sal speaks about fairtrade, believe me she means fair! This goes beyond price and is about action that pushes against a world of commodity trading where a farmer’s harvest is stripped of its story or what becomes of the crop is no longer recognisably of the farm or farmer. You can experience what this action tastes like in the Multani Mango Chutney. How mango chutney is meant to taste!

Sal trained at Le Cordon Bleu London and when Third Culture Kat first launched, the question did not stop at “How does it taste?”- the bigger question was, “What does our community think of it? The response was joy and recognition. It certainly was joyous spending time with you when we were in London. We managed to get a few pics and we’re not sure what we love more, your condiments or your merch! Here they are along will some pics from POM shop.

We use the Lahori Tamarind Chutney on our POM samosa chaat (a favourite at Porthleven Food Festival this year) and are having them on our cheeseboard tonight.
