Fairytales can come true…..

Today is our wedding anniversary, Mark and I have been married for 17 years. When we were engaged, he used to work away during the week, when he returned he bought me flowers, I dried these flowers to use as our own wedding confetti. This is how the seeds for Polly’s Petals were born.

It is funny, time moves so quickly but so much has happened in those years. One of the main things is Polly’s Petals! His support of my business through the years has been immense and unwavering. Thank you my Darling, for the happiest years of my life and I look forward to the next 17 years!

Fizz and fancy nibbles anyone?

Have you got some friends coming over……. Maybe a girls night…….. perhaps it’s a special birthday coming up? How about creating some delicious morsels and decorating them with real freeze dried flowers. Because our flowers are dried you can order them in advance of your event. One less thing to organise on the days running up.

Our freeze dried flowers keep for weeks, just keep them in them in a dark cupboard and air tight …. They will be just right.

What is your story?

It is so important to know where the products we eat come from. So, I would like to show you more about us here at Polly’s Petals, to tell my story. I started my business 12 years ago and I am proud of what we have created, the joy that the flowers still bring to me every day, the beautiful relationships with growers and customers make our world here a happy, colourful and exciting place .

A fairytale moment…

We are delighted to have our flowers adorning this gorgeous cake, created by , Senior Development Chef at Waitrose, and made by Fiona Cairns Ltd. The cake was presented to Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Edinburgh by Will, and his daughter Olivia on a very sunny day at the Leckford Farm Estate back in May.

The event was to celebrate 20 years of Open Farm Sunday. The day recognised the thousands of workers across farming communities for their inspiration and hard work, which have created one of British farming’s biggest public engagement success stories in the past two decades.

This special event was a collaboration between Waitrose, LEAF Farming, The Waitrose & Partners Farm and Olive and Iris

The flowers that cascade over these cakes are quintessentially British, viola, pansy, primrose and cornflower petals.

For me it is being creative. Producing flowers that all you amazing creative people out there turn into culinary magic made with love and care. I feel like we are all spreading happiness with flowers and flower petals.

Meet Gracie! Did you know, all of our flower mixes are named after very special people. Every one has a story tell …, Gracie is one very special lady indeed.

These flowers are freeze dried and will last many weeks, so you can prepare for your special event in advance. I decorated this cake the evening before, covered it and stored in the fridge. Easy peasy!
