Interesting call today from someone wanting to buy 2 trees in october for a photoshoot which I agreed until i asked who for? They replied for B and Q to advertise their trees. I'm afraid my response was somewhat negative. Supermarkets, country store chains and the like are buying third grade trees and are getting them cut far too early, even the last week in october in some cases They are then sat composting on pallets until they get through their distribution network to the customer. This is all very bad news for customers and for the image of fresh trees generally. Needless to say ...our locally grown, fresh beauties won't be available for said photo shoot !
