Porter's Farm Welcome to Porters Farm! We are a smallholding on Portland in Dorset, we have our farm attraction site with a farm & gift shop along with a small cafe.

We also have land elsewhere on the island where we rear livestock, we have a growing allotment too.

💗 **YOU’VE ASKED… SO WE’VE MADE IT POSSIBLE!** 🐮🐷🐐

Just to be completely clear — **we are NOT asking for help or donations.** We’re incredibly grateful that Porter’s Farm is able to support itself through our wonderful visitors, café, shop and farm. ❤️

However, we **keep getting asked** by people who love what we’re doing whether there’s a way they can make a small monthly contribution towards the animals.

So… we’ve finally set something up! 🙌

You can choose anything from **£5 a month**, with options representing things like animal feed and bales of hay. There’s absolutely **no commitment and you can cancel whenever you like.**

Every penny contributed will go towards **feeding, bedding and caring for our animals and continuing to improve the farm.** 🌾🐮

Again, **this isn’t an appeal for help** — it’s simply an option for those of you who have been asking us for one. 💗

And to everyone who supports us simply by visiting, buying a coffee, having breakfast, bringing the kids or telling your friends about us — **that support means just as much!** 🥰

⚠️ CLOSED TODAY – TUESDAY ⚠️

Unfortunately, both the farm and café will be closed today while the electricity board carries out essential works on the substation at Tillycoombe.

They had looked at providing a generator to keep us open, but being an ex-MOD building, our electrical setup is far too complex to make this possible.

They are, however, kindly loaning us generators to keep our fridges and freezers running while the power is off! 👍🏻

Sorry for any inconvenience, and thank you for understanding. ❤️

Donkeys main diet should be barley straw so the eat their bed. Little bit of hay here and there for a treat and nutrients as there isn’t any grass 😒

Our farm doesn’t stop when we close, it carries on every day until around 9pm!

☀️ THE SUN IS SHINING & WE’RE OPEN ALL WEEKEND! 🐮🐷

The kids might be back at school, but Porter’s Farm is still open as normal 7 days a week! 💗

Come hungry and start with one of our amazing all-day farm breakfasts 🤤🥓🍳 made with our own sausages, bacon and fresh farm eggs — plus our entire breakfast menu can be made gluten free! We’ve also got loads of delicious homemade lunch options, with pretty much the whole menu available gluten free too. 🙌

Then while the sun’s shining, why not have a wander around the farm and say hello to the animals? 🐮🐷🐐🐴

Just fancy breakfast, lunch, cake or a coffee? You DO NOT have to pay farm admission to use our café or shop — everyone is welcome! ☕️🍰

And don’t leave the pooch behind… our shop and cafe is dog friendly! (NOT THE FARM) 🐶❤️

🐷 NOT ALL PIGS ARE RAISED THE SAME!

The reality is, many pigs reared for cheaper meat may spend much of their lives indoors, with little opportunity to roam, root and explore.

Then there’s a Porter’s Farm pig… 🌿🐷

🌱 Acres of outdoor space
🐽 Grass and bushes to naturally root around in
☀️ Fresh air and daylight
🏃 Plenty of room to roam
❤️ Happy, well-cared-for pigs

And we believe you can taste the difference.

Our native-breed, outdoor-reared pigs produce fantastic-quality pork that goes into our own sausages, bacon and other cuts.
