We’ve unfortunately had to make the decision to cancel our summer holiday bbq this coming Saturday due to the weather forecast this week! ⛈️⛈️

We’re very sad that we can no longer hold this event for all of our customers and apologise for any inconveniences this may have caused.

Instead the farm shop cafe will be running as usual, serving our set breakfast menu from 9am-4pm.

We thank you for your kindness and support!

Polite reminder…
We love having a selection of animals here for everyone to enjoy. However, sadly lately we are having a lot of children screaming and shouting at the animals causing stress for the birds in particular.
We have signs up asking to keep quiet around them which unfortunately are often ignored.
Please respect them so that we can keep them there for all to enjoy.

Good morning everyone, we’ll be repeating yesterday’s procedures due to the continued heat today.
We will be stopping cooked breakfasts at 12pm to give our staff a break from the grills. We will still be serving sandwiches & Ploughman’s lunch after 12pm.

JOB OPPORTUNITY

Part time work position available for 22 hours a week, must require cooking experience!

Monday (4 hours afternoon/closing shift),
Thursday (8 hours all day shift),
Friday (4 hours afternoon/closing shift), and Sunday (6 hours all day shift).

These hours are fixed but additional hours may be required to cover staff sickness and holidays. The position will mostly involve cooking in our farm shop cafe kitchen however other aspects of service will also be expected of the role, including serving customers, operating our till system and general maintenance cleaning.

At least 21 years of age Relevant cooking experience in either a small scale kitchen or commercial kitchen with references to review Provide a CV, attend an interview, work a months paid trial further to application

We kindly ask for your patience in hearing back from us, this is a busy time of year for the farm shop and it will take time to go through each application.

We are small independent business and our members of staff are extremely important and valuable to us, this new edition of staff must have the correct working attitude to fit in with our already wonderful team. What we look for in the right candidate are qualities such as reliability, flexibility, team work and positivity.

We have some exciting news for you today with a new addition to our well loved cafe food menu. Introducing the new Sussex ploughman’s lunch!! 🧀🌾🧀🌾

Safe to say we think it’s a hit, crispy baguette and all the classic toppings including vintage cheddar, brie, thick cut ham, freshly made coleslaw and potato salad, farmhouse pickle and piccalilli.

Hiya everyone, we absolutely loved hosting our summer BBQ we held earlier this summer, so naturally we thought we’d do another!! 🌞🌞

We’ll be operating exactly the same as before, serving our set menu from opening until midday to then move onto our special BBQ menu from 12pm- 4pm.
