Mum and Dad’s Kitchen is the result of many years making cakes and pies trading as My Mum’s Cakes. We provided a varied range of homemade cakes from single portion sizes to larger ones to share. We then introduced gluten free pies and quiche to our range. Due to the increased demand we decided to rebrand – hence Mum and Dad’s Kitchen was born! Why choose our products?

*We have a registered Gluten Free kitchen

*We only source the best quality ingredients

*We do not ‘bulk up’ meat pies with things like tapioca (yuck!)

*Just because it’s gluten free, we do NOT add exorbitant amounts of sugar/salt or other chemical enhancers; just good honest ingredients every time.

*All of our pies and cakes are made by hand taking the greatest care that the result is just like ‘Mum & Dad’ produced in their kitchen…

We’ll be at Alresford Farmers Market this Sunday, 10–2 for the very first time, bringing lots of gluten-free goodness.

And… slightly ridiculous news… our new puff pastry slices have already SOLD OUT on pre-order before we’ve even got there 😂🙈

So there won’t be any of those left on the stall this time — but don’t worry, they’ll be back!

We’ll still have plenty to tempt you with, including:

Apparently it’s only 100 days until Christmas… and frankly, we’re taking that as excellent news. 😂🎄

There’s enough doom and gloom about at the moment, so we’re choosing festive food, good pastry, cake, laughter and anything else that makes life feel a little bit nicer. 💚

Too soon to get excited? Absolutely not.

There’s a lot of doom and gloom around at the moment.

And yes… life is expensive, running a business is hard, and the world can feel like a pretty tough place sometimes.

But we don’t really want to add to the misery. 😅

We’d rather make good food, have a laugh, feed people properly and give you something to look forward to.

Because the world might be tough right now…

…but our pastry isn’t. 😂🥧

So this week we’re making a conscious effort to spread a little happiness. 💚

Eat the pie. Have the cake. Laugh at something stupid. Buy yourself the nice coffee. Hug the dog. Message your mate. Call your mum.

Yes — we’ve been playing in the kitchen again, and we are ridiculously pleased with these 😍

To kick things off, we’ve got TWO flavours:

They failed our rather stringent quality control because they’re not quite pretty enough for our usual standards.
