We were just sent over some photos from Ben and Liv, a wedding couple we cooked for a few weeks back. I’ll be posting more of those shortly but this one really sick of for me as it captures the essence of what we do. It’s not just a plated meal but sharing a meal with the people on your table making the whole experience a communal one which just makes the day more of a special one. Bit of a different supper club at yesterday as we went with some tasty sharing platters paired up with some of their amazing wines. The lamb was stunning in our merguez seasoning cooked over wood and charcoal then finished off with some rosemary smoke 🤤 loads of tasty sides to go with it and all finished with a watermelon granita and feta. Not far from the waters edge we had our live fire cookery day. Surrounded by the huge historic walls of Fort Cumberland and right next to Portsmouth distillery we talked all things fire food. Our live fire cookery days are full hands on from getting the fires going to kicking of the day cooking breakfast over live fire. We had a fab day cooking for Faith and Matt’s wedding celebrations at . They went all out with canapés followed by spatchcock chicken and lamb belly, delicious brownies for dessert and to top the day off, cheese toasties all cooked over live fire. Fab day today cooking for Ben and Liv’s wedding. Stunning location and the weather was perfect. WOW!!!!! The last two weeks have been some of the busiest for Grate, catering for some lovely wedding couples at some amazing wedding venues. Grate had its first day of two wedding events on the same day which we smashed seeing .sto on the grills over at .hampshire while I was over at cooking for another wedding followed by another three weddings Just wanted to say a BIG thank you to all of the wedding couples for letting us be part of their big day and to all of the front of house and back of house teams for helping us deliver our tasty fire food. We have the weekend off but we’re back at it next week 🔥🔥🔥🔥

We went to say hi and visit yesterday and check out their amazing wedding and event space. Safe to say our live fire set up will be a perfect match for wedding couples who want relaxed but delicious fire food and a blank canvas wedding space. If your looking for a wedding venue do check them out 🔥
