WOW!!!!! The last two weeks have been some of the busiest for Grate, catering for some lovely wedding couples at some amazing wedding venues. Grate had its first day of two wedding events on the same day which we smashed seeing .sto on the grills over at .hampshire while I was over at cooking for another wedding followed by another three weddings Just wanted to say a BIG thank you to all of the wedding couples for letting us be part of their big day and to all of the front of house and back of house teams for helping us deliver our tasty fire food. We have the weekend off but we’re back at it next week 🔥🔥🔥🔥

We went to say hi and visit yesterday and check out their amazing wedding and event space. Safe to say our live fire set up will be a perfect match for wedding couples who want relaxed but delicious fire food and a blank canvas wedding space. If your looking for a wedding venue do check them out 🔥

One of the things about food is its ability to really surprise you. Take leeks for example, looked over so many times when people are looking for a nice veg to go with dinner. But, confit them in duck fat to have a veg that just melts in the mouth like a fillet steak. Cook them direct on the coals then take away the ashy layer to reveal a Smokey tasty leek, this stuff just blows me away every time 🤤
