It is definitely autumn (fall) now. My first proper apple pie of the season heralds the start of everything spiced (my favourite time).

All-round heartwarming food. The flaky crust, sugary, spiced syrup and tender apples (not mushy).

This photo does not look as good as it tasted...

Jon's version of a butterbean panzanella. I absolutely loved the cherry tomatoes, the crispy bread, just everything was amazing! I loved it and ate it all.

Thanks to for the idea, I added some extras and it was delicious.

Here they are...white chocolate and cranberry cookies.

Each cookie is the size of your hand and taste amazing. Chewy, crispy and just plain yummy.

I LOVE chocolate chip cookies!!!

I decided to try out a new recipe of crispy chocolate chip cookies.

They are big and seem lovely, now to wait for them to cool enough to not burn our mouths.

This was such a quick meal... Sweet chili sea bass with fried rice and steamed green beans. It was light and nice with a little heat from the chili. A lovely summer meal.

This doesn't look as good as it tastes...

Strawberry roulade with a blood orange and whipped meringue filling.
I did something different when I marinated the strawberries in apple juice.

This is the greatest chili ever because everyone loves it every time!!
It is customisable for vegetarian days, or not, carbs on the side, or not. We love it.

And it's always better as leftovers

One of my better brownie recipes... Butterscotch and fudge brownies.

To hear comments like "these are the best brownies I've ever had" is always good to hear.

A special thanks to my mom who gave me the best ever brownie pan. It works!!!

Bacon and tomato risotto is an absolute smash out of the park for dinner. Everyone loves it and we always run out.

Home made Caesar salad.

This was an unmitigated failure in our household.
Every single child disliked it, but both adults enjoyed it. To be fair, I added too much garlic so it was "too spicy".

This is the picture of unfulfilled dreams and expectations. I hoped this would be good, it looked good, smelled good, but ultimately didn't taste that great.

Apple shortbread / cake slice.

I use these 'failures' to remind me to never follow other recipes because my tastes aren't the same as theirs. This was waaaaay too cakey and not enough shortbready. The apple filling was far too thin.

Next time will be better...I promise.

Is there anything worse than waiting for triple chocolate chip cookies to cool enough to eat?

It's made worse when they've been made for someone else so I can't even eat all of them...just quality control of each type: peanut butter chips or daim bar pieces.
