🌳 COCKERHAM HEDGELAYING COMPETITION

Taking place on Saturday 21st March, we promise a good day, delicious food and quality prize money!

The competition takes place at Wrampool Farm, Gulf Lane, Cockerham via Pilling, Preston, PR3 6AT. 10am arrival for a prompt 10:30am start.

What’s better than a Christmas day turkey dinner? 🦃

A Boxing Day turkey dinner pie! 🤤

Recipe:
Take ALL your leftovers. I’m talking everything, meat, spuds, veg, stuffing, gravy, even the pigs in blankets! Chop up, add some stock, a bit of double cream and a dash of Dijon mustard. Top with a puff pastry sheet and in the words of Alison and Noel…BAKE!

The best meal for any kind of Boxing Day gathering. (And after it’s been reported that over 85,000 tonnes of edible food will be thrown away this Christmas period, this shows you don’t have to waste a thing).

PS, can’t take credit for the pie, it’s a Jeb special! 👨🏼‍🍳💋

To all those who booked, visited, picked, explored, we can’t thank you enough. You really make all the months of hard work worth while.

To my usual team of helpers, the biggest thanks goes to you. We couldn’t do it without you.

And finally, to this chap, who jumps onboard the pumpkin train every year, makes all the things you see in the patch, oversees the growing of the pumpkins and generally does a lot of the manual labour, thank you.

Tonight we are putting our feet up with a well earned beer because tomorrow we are celebrating HALLOWEEN! 🎃 👻
