Happy Sunny Saturday!🥳

Just a heads up that we are running low on beef, so don't leave it too late. We have another cow booked into the butchers, but it will be mid November before we have a full restock of our 100% pasture fed beef.

A reminder that it is 2 weeks to go until our pork pop up shop here at the farm.

🥛 Raw Milk Update 🐄

As we head into autumn we wanted to share an update on our raw milk.

On our farm we work with the natural rhythm of the land and the seasons. Our cows calve in the spring so their highest nutritional needs align naturally with the spring flush of lush grass when it is at its most nutritious. As the grass slowly loses its richness at this time of year the cows naturally begin to wind down and dry off. They then enjoy their well earned rest through the winter months before new calves arrive in spring, which means we have no milk while they rest.

Our cows are 100% pasture fed so we do not feed concentrates or grain to push milk yields. For now, the cows are still happily out grazing the pastures day and night producing wonderful rich and creamy milk, but as the days draw in their milk will gradually slow down.

Our raw milk freezes really well so popping a few bottles in the freezer now is a simple way to see you through the winter.

Pork Pop Up Shop!

We will be doing two pork pop up shops at the farm this year, giving you the chance to stock up on our home reared rare breed pork.

Our first Pork Pop Up Shop will be:

📅 Saturday 31st October
⏰ 11am–2pm
📍 Farm on the Fell, PR3 1UT

Our pork comes from our Oxford Sandy & Black pigs, which are a slow growing traditional rare breed that produce delicious well marbled pork.

Our pigs are fed milk and whey along with whatever they can find naturally while rooting around, giving them plenty of opportunity to behave like pigs should!

We will have lots of different cuts available, so whether you are looking for a Sunday roast, sausages, chops, belly pork or something for the freezer there should be plenty to choose from.

Everything is reared here on the farm, giving you complete traceability. So come along and stock up on some proper pork.

No sourdough this weekend as Jess is recovering from an operation. Fresh sourdough will be back in the shop from Tuesday 6th October 🍞

A first for us - 100% pasture fed lamb and mutton boxes 🐑

From our own flock of Shetland sheep reared here on the farm.

Shetlands are a traditional native breed and much smaller than commercial sheep. Because they are slow grown entirely on grass, the joints and cuts are naturally smaller and more compact, with incredible flavour. 100% pasture fed, with no grain and no concentrates.

Our beef boxes are now available to order on our website 📦🥩

We have two box sizes available and you can order for collection from the farm or for courier delivery. Collection from the farm is on Sunday 4th October and if ordering for courier delivery your beef box will arrive at your door on Wednesday 7th October.

All of our beef is 100% pasture fed, born and reared on our farm with zero grain or concentrates.

A big thank you to everyone who visited the farm shop over the weekend 💚

You kept us busy restocking and we have now sold out of ribeye and minute steaks, though we still have other cuts available including:

All of our 100% pasture fed beef is from our own herd and reared by us.
