Maintenance Engineer

Bryan's Salads is a growing, family-run food manufacturing business based in Tarleton, Lancashire. We supply fresh, high-quality salad and vegetable products to customers across the UK, and we're looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to help keep our production running at its best.

What You'll Be Doing
Carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across the site
Diagnosing faults and minimising production downtime
Supporting continuous improvement projects to improve reliability and efficiency
Maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems (some electrical work may be required)
Working closely with production teams to maximise performance and safety
What We're Looking For
Apprentice-trained or time-served Maintenance Engineer
Ideally qualified to Level 3 (or equivalent)
Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Electrical maintenance experience is an advantage, but not essential
A proactive team player with a positive attitude and a focus on quality

Saturday was a record-breaking day here at Bryan’s Salads 🥬🚜

Our teams harvested an incredible 21,000kg of fresh spinach on Saturday alone — all of which was washed, packed, and dispatched before Monday morning.

Across the factory, we also packed and sold over 300,000 bags and bowls in a single day. To put that into perspective, that equates to around 25 articulated lorry loads heading out to our customers across the country.

A huge effort from everyone involved on both the farm and factory sides of the business. From harvesting in the field to processing, packing, logistics, and dispatch, it takes a full team effort to achieve results like this.

Proud of what the Bryan’s Salads team achieved on Saturday and continue to achieve everyday 🌱

Our first day harvesting baby spinach is underway at Bryan’s Salads 🌱🚜

After weeks of growing, watching the weather, and keeping on top of the crop, it’s a cracking feeling to finally get the harvester rolling and see this year’s baby spinach coming off the field.

From field to factory, straight through processing, and out to our customers as fresh as it gets.
