Victoria will be taking us through her own journey from years of happy hacking to discovering her passion for endurance, plus practical advice, welfare-focused training talk and plenty of real life along the way. If you follow her online you'll know her for Safety Inspector Max, young horse Leo, Henry the hobby horse, and her honest, no-nonsense approach to horse ownership.

🐾 An Evening with Jack Jennings – The Wessex Bloodhounds 🐾

We're delighted to welcome Jack Jennings, Master & Huntsman of the Wessex Bloodhounds, for an evening talk on "hunting the clean boot" — the fascinating (and surprisingly fun!) sport of following bloodhounds trained to track a human scent trail, with no animal quarry involved at all.

Jack grew up around hounds and horses, spent years working with foxhounds and the New Forest Bloodhounds, and joined the Wessex Bloodhounds Mastership in 2025. He'll be talking through how a clean boot hunt actually works, what a day out with the pack looks like, and what it takes to become "human quarry" yourself if you fancy being the one being chased!

🐴 What a fantastic evening at The Old Dairy Tea Room!

Huge thanks to everyone who joined us for Feeding in Sympathy with the Digestive System with TopSpec — such an informative talk, with plenty of great questions from the floor.

We're delighted to have raised £60 for Broadlands Equine Therapy & RDA from the event, so thank you to everyone who came along and supported such a great cause.

Congratulations to our two raffle winners, each taking home a bag of TopSpec balancer! And a huge thank you to Emma TopSpec for such a brilliant talk and for donating the prizes.

If you missed it, don't worry — Emma is happy to offer yard visits, especially if you're already thinking ahead about what to feed this winter.

Yes, we know it's still technically summer — but the second the heatwave breaks and the rain rolls in, our brains go straight to hot chocolate and carols! 🎶 🧑‍🎄🎄

So, we're toying with the idea of putting on a Mini Christmas Makers Market late November / December at Fawley Farm — and before we commit, we want to gauge interest from local makers and crafters!

The idea: a cosy, festive day where local makers can sell their handmade goods, crafts and produce, with hot chocolate, mulled wine and carols to set the mood.
If we go ahead, we'd love it to be filled with local talent — candles, cards, jewellery, bakes, décor, whatever you make and love making.

🐾 Hound Exercise at Fawley Farm – meet the 🐾

We're excited to be welcoming the Wessex Bloodhounds (who track a human scent trail, no animal quarry involved) to Fawley Farm for a hound exercise session on August 22nd — come along and watch the pack in action. They'll be with us around 5pm, maybe before, so get there early and grab a drink at The Old Dairy Tea Room.

Jack Jennings, Master & Huntsman, will be here with the hounds, so come and have a nosey, watch them being put through their paces, and grab him for a chat if you're curious about "hunting the clean boot" — bloodhounds tracking a human scent trail, no animal quarry involved.
