So much love and help is going into our grow area, led by sherrif steve (or swampy Steve) and deputy Suki. Huge thanks as always to all volunteers and animals also got some love, but we thought we would showcase some of our hard green hands work. And look at those radishes. 🫜

Newly built potato towers, even more plugs and seeds went into the ground reusing our hay and straw as mulch and giving an amazing boost with our magic alpaca bean manure. All clean eco and no nasty chemicals. Loads of weeding , which also does not go to waste as most can be fed to the goats and/or alpacas. So they got tasty treats today.

And we can already see so much new life coming through 🫶🏻🌱FUN, calming, joyful and the rains stopped for us, but had perfectly done all the watering already for us. Brucey bonus.

Well it’s got a wee bit cooler, but it’s still way too hot for our animals and those that are supporting our sessions and experiences.

So I’ve given everyone the weekend off. Volunteers, animals and our face painter and we will all postpone our guided walk tomorrow. Does this make good business sense? Probably not, but our animals and volunteers and staff also need kind welfare and it’s honestly not worth it to us to have miserable animals, volunteers an staff in this heat. Animal and human welfare first and that makes us all happy.

I’ve rescheduled those that already booked experiences this weekend and slightly cooler weather is coming and experiences will resume. In the meantime the girls are getting spa wash hose downs, loads of extra hay as yes the grounds are dry and a good ol munch of spinach from our grow area.

We are still open for our camping and glamping guests and any last minutes can book until 8pm daily. It’s the prefect weather for sleeping under the stars.

We only have 1 Campervan pitch left tonight, our Horsebox is rented but we still have our furnished bell and empty bell available as well as plenty of camping room and yes we take cat tents as well.

Come get some time in nature, wake up next to our animals and birdsong.
