Delayed post …… but it was lovely to see the young farmers set up at the Melplash Show last week in Bridport.

What a turn out, amazing to see the show thriving. However for neurodivergents (including myself) it was quite the sensory overload. It would be great to start seeing more events offering some quieter or wellbeing space and time for those that can get overwhelmed with huge events.

Care and social farming provide those opportunities, and work with those that gain so much support and regulation from spending time outdoors, growing and or taking care of and spending time around animals.

Thank you so much to everyone that has shown so much care and consideration around blue tounge and our animals. After a few weeks of patiently waiting, as the vaccine had run out. We have now vaccinated all our animals.

Sending huge love to all the smallholders and farmers out there, that have been going through such a difficult and terrible time with the current situation.

At the moment even though no pigmies have been recorded with the virus and only 1 lama, we did not think lightly of this situation and / or making our decision to vaccinate.

Consulting our vet and other friends, smallholders, farms and yards. We felt it was absolutely 100% not worth taking the risk.

So happy our fur family are now safe. 🫶🏻🦙🐐
