Llyn Alpacas

Llyn Alpacas Selling fibre for textile crafts.

12/09/2024

It's been a while since we last posted on here.
We have been very busy trying to organise our alpaca and sheep business.
We didn't want to go down the walking route, so we opened a craft shop. We were happy to sell our own yarn and collected fleece from Crugan up the road to get a blend of alpaca and sheep. This we had turned into 4 different colour yarns, scarves and rugs and is now selling well in the shop.
However, we also wanted to be able to offer people an opportunity to be up close to these lovely animals and get to see what we see.
So, as from next Spring 2025, we will be offering an afternoon, where you can book a cream tea whilst sitting amongst the alpacas, weather permitting. We also have an indoor area should you wish to sit inside.
The afternoon will be for a maximum of four people and will be exclusively yours for the afternoon. The duration will be approximately 2 and a half hours and will cost about £30 per person. You will be able to feed the alpacas if you wish, or just sit and admire them from the comfort of the conservatory.
We can chat to you about how we get from fleece to end product if you would like to know more or you can be left to enjoy your cream tea in private. At the end of the afternoon, you each get to take home a small bag of fibre from one of our animals. There will be yarn available to purchase should you wish to.

The afternoons will be run either on a Thursday or Sunday, throughout the Summer and will have to be booked at least a week in advance. The afternoon will start at 2pm and finish approx 2 and a half hours later. A deposit will be taken to secure your booking.

For more information about the afternoon, please message us on here. 🙂
