Brilliant, enjoyable 2 days at Gillingham and Shaftesbury show.
Mixed rare and minority classes.
Doon placed 2nd cow in calf/milk
Artimus placed 1st bull any age class.
3rd place in pairs.
At 11 and a half months old Artimus was placed 1st above a 2 and a half year old Hereford bull, much to the Hereford bulls displeasure as can be seen in the photo! 😆

Great day at Midsomerset show today with Great company from the Galloway world Patrick Ford Darlene Ford. Rarely for us we were in a mixed Galloway class which made a nice change.
Croft Doon, 2nd place cow in calf
Burdon Artimus 1st place bull and reserve champion.
Doon and Artimus together 1st place pair.
Next stop Gillingham and shaftesbury show on Wednesday/Thursday!

Our first time at Mid Devon show on Saturday. Great day with great friends. Artimus held his own in an any age native bull class coming third to a mature Beef shorthorn and a mature Highland. Still really good for an 11 month old bull. Doon still isn't on her game this season, tough class with some very large beef animals for competition much older than her. Together they were placed 2nd in the pair class.

Proud to see our breeding doing a good job over in Northern Ireland. He looks great, a credit to his owner 👏

Our stock bull “Burdon Skyfall” didn’t fail much in his winter quarters. A fine example of what a Dexter bull should look like. Thriving on a grass only diet he has produced some great calves this year. Like any hard working man he’s always got the next job on his mind…Soon big fella…Soon!
