A fantastic, hot, long, tiring, fun week of showing cattle. Starting at Sherborne Castle and finishing with 3 days at the Bath and West. Great companionship and laughter with fellow breeders. Two second places for Doon. Two first places and two reserve champions for Artimus.

Hot morning but great results at the Bath and West.
Doon 2nd place in cow and calf.
Artimus 1st place young bull then on to reserve champion male! 🏆 cracking results for our young bull again.

We're in and settled. Come and see us at the Bath and West.

Phew! what a scorcher it was at Sherborne today, over 30 degrees!! 🥵🥵
Doon, not yet getting into the swing of things yet. A good 2nd place won in her class.
Out shining her is our young bull Burdon Artimus! Another fantastic first place in an any age bull class against a much older longhorn and Red polled bull. Bear in mind Artimus is still only 9 months old!
After his class win he secured Native Reserve Champion! Over the moon with him!

All washed and show ready for a week of showing, starting with Sherborne Castle Rare Breeds tomorrow!

Our first show of the year today at North Somerset Show. All the hard work payed off and we are very proud of Burdon Artimus out in the ring for the first time. First place young bull against older and larger bulls and he behaved beautifully! His not so well behaved mum Doon brought home a respectable 2nd place.

Just out for a stroll with my cow in the sunshine! Pandora is coming on well. Can't wait to get her out to the shows. She will be the only black Galloway I know of out on the show circuit we do, along with the Riggit Galloways they will be a rare sight at the shows.

Not all training sessions are easy going. Pandora bulling so hormones raging and a very windy day makes for a challenge. but we got there in the end. Although my arm is a few inches longer on one side now!

We've started entering shows now, first one in May so the pressure is on! Pandora's first time out of the shed on a halter she's coming on.

May going out, hopefully to stay out if the good weather holds. Love this beautiful gentle giant 😍
