At the market this week we have a great selection of cakes including classic Coffee and Walnut with salted coffee buttercream and a new Marble Cake flavoured with chocolate and orange…

We have a choice of homemade seasonal jams and chutneys as well as locally grown flower bouquets…

Our craft stall is bursting with beautifully handmade gifts and goodies - start thinking about any special orders you might want to request for Christmas gifts (we know…we said that word already 🧑‍🎄🎄)…

This week we have a range of homegrown goodies including these freshly grown tomatoes. They are just picked and the smell is incredible! Slice with some mozzarella, basil and drizzle with olive oil and you can pretend you’re eating lunch overlooking the Mediterranean 🌊🍅🧀🌿

Our locally grown Zinnias and Dahlias are back too and hopefully we’ll be able to keep them going during the hosepipe ban so grab them while you can…🌼🌺🌸💐

The usual choice of homemade cakes, bakes and breads will be on sale too as well as the ‘cleanest’ ready meals in town - homemade ratatouille (made with courgettes grown three minutes from the market!) and our popular vegan sweet potato and chickpea curry 🍛🍅

Our craft stall will be full of gorgeous handcrafted gifts and treats and our cafe will be selling teas, coffees and homemade cake - an ideal place to bring the children or grandchildren if you’re in charge this week! Everyone welcome - open 9am-12pm, WI Hall, Bellingham Lane ☕️🍰🧁🫖

What about this for the cutest ‘apple for the teacher’ handmade end of year gift? Can anyone guess what’s inside? (clue: it’s chocolatey and orangey) 🍫🍊🍎 - now that’s a present a teacher would be happy to receive in our book! On sale on our craft stall this week…

Loads of new flavours on sale on our baked goods stall and vegans are well catered for this week with a choice of cakes and pizza 🍰🍕

Don’t forget we also stock the ever popular Rayleigh Honey 🍯 and are re-stocked regularly.

It’s not all about cakes and jam at Rayleigh Country Market…our craft team make some truly special one-off knitted items from scrumptiously soft baby clothes and booties to pot cosies worthy of the highest of teas.

Oh and if you’re looking for hand sewn bags, pouches and cases (for glasses, tissues, books and gadgets) we have you covered and can co-ordinate for you too.

Don’t forget our choice of hand painted unique greetings cards - how lovely are these British bird designs? Perfect for framing too.

And if you really are all about the cake - this week we have vegan cakes and swirled marble cakes for sale as well as a peach drizzle cake that goes perfectly with afternoon of tennis 🎾 🍑

New flavours at this week’s Country Market have a definite Summer feel - anyone fancy coconut and lime cake or a Summer berry loaf cake? 🥥🍋‍🟩🍓🫐🍪

We have our delicious oat syrup cookies back on sale as well as a range of Rayleigh-grown plants including herbs, veg, tomatoes and flowers - something for every garden, big or small. 🍀🌸🥒🍅🌿

Our Cafe will also be open serving hot drinks and a choice of homemade cake - a perfect pit stop if you’re popping in to the market in town.
